BWitcher
Whilst I would like to see Greaves back in the team (he did well last year), we really should build top down and not bottom up. Due to the stupid 8 point rule, we need, sadly, to resolve the Lindgren/Thorssell problem first. Sadly for Jacob there really is only one option there if Fred wishes to return. Wolfsbane
Sadly for Jacob there really is only one option there if Fred wishes to return. It's happened before with Sam, Ronnie & PK, but they all returned. Damned unfortunate for Thorssell but, being brutal, regaining his fitness/mojo elsewhere isn't the worst thing for Wolves as a club.
Yampy
Will be interesting to see what, if anything Pete Adams gives away tomorrow. I thought Rory Schlein was excellent last year but if you went with a top 3 of Freddie, Rory and Sam Masters and the same reserves it leaves 10.34 for 2 and 4. Basically, for that top three it probably means losing Kyle and Mark Riss for potentially weaker riders.... INCOGNITO
Freddie is the obvious choice as number one and with Sam Masters 7.92 and Rory Schlein 7.72 you have two of the best back up riders you can get under the eight average, so that should be the strongest trio next season on paper. The fact that Kyle virtually averaged the same home as away and including bonus points nearly averaged the same as Sam, on 6.64 he has to be included to make a strong top four. Obviously that means the bottom three have to be either bargains or riders that can improve and hold down a number two position while also holding their own at reserve. With just 10.93 left and using Nathan Greaves 2.54 at seven leaves 8.39 for the other two positions and going on the fact you don't want Nathan to be the better of the two reserves, rules out also adding a 2.00 riders to then form a strong top five. Luke Becker and Broc Nicol at 2 and 6 could be one option and both should feel more at home around Monmore than anywhere else but while you get potential, you also get inexperience Thomas H Jonasson 4.64 would be a bargain and alongside Freddie should make a decent pairing but I'm sure others will be contacting him with that average and wouldn't be surprised to see him on the south coast and would only leave enough for Ellis Perks or Max Clegg. However not including Nathan could give you enough for Nicol and a 2.00 1 Fredrik Lindgren 2 3 Kyle Howarth 4 Rory Schlein 5 Sam Masters 6 7 Becker, Nicol and Greaves THJ or Starke 5.08, Clegg or Perks and Greaves Lasse Bjerre or Patrick Hoogaard plus Greaves and 2.

Beowulf
1. CVS has had chemotherapy and should have an operation before Xmas. 2. No decision yet made between Lindgren/Thorsell. Two potential line-ups considered. Comment by CVS, Thorsell has had metalwork inserted and usually in this scenario, riders recover faster. 3. No real comments about riders from last year apart from Schlein. CVS wary about his reputation, but has been no problem and if given a vote CVS would have voted him rider of the year. 4. Future of the club, obviously due to his health problems, CVS is considering options: (a) supporters are on the board and have a vote about the way ahead ( a consortium in the way that Swindon is run. 5. The reason for a possible consortium is the financial burden. Only Poole and Wolves have single owners who take all the financial risk. The KO Cup run, in total, resulted in a 5 figure loss, very difficult for 1 individual to absorb. 6. Olympique unlikely as it requires a sponsor. 7. Hoping to start the season with consecutive Monday's and then move onto fortnightly. 8. I personally have no time at all for the Spoon Pearson. 9. Christ I nearly forgot it. The minutes are still to be issued from the AGM, BUT it maybe that all GP riders would be given a 9.00 assessed average, so Pawlicki would be a no no for Wolves and probably everybody else. Would this benefit a team on the South Coast who have a GP quality rider around a 7.00 average and prevent the opposition from possibly gaining ? Who knows ?

Beowulf
To be honest I'm not 100% sure but the indication is that Pawlicki would be assessed at 9:00, don't ask me why.

stevebrum
No thanks lol. Looks like the Manzares rumour is true. Part 1 signed for Scunthorpe. wrong as per usual. Questioned was asked about Manzares and CVS Said he wasn't in team plans. Pawlicki has an average though. 7.32 isn't it. stevebrum
WOLVES WINTER TALK IN. Wolves news. .... Kyle Howarth confirmed 1st signing. Was in both team plans and agreed at the presentation night. Likely to be back with Sheffield and has signed a Polish 1st division deal with a team that has Greg and 19 other riders! Parry's confirmed as sponsors, now in its 18th season. 2 teams being considered for next year. One with Freddie, one with Jacob. Conversations are ongoing with Freddie which suggests he is 1st choice. However CVS added Jacob will probably have a quicker recovery from his injury. Pawlicki has been in contact with club and could be interested, however on a 9 is virtually a no no. Manzares, Bech and Hume - CVS has no interest. It's hoped Mondays will start regular then be every 2 weeks. no changes on admission prices. Nathan Greaves - is being considered if other clubs employ 2 pointers. If not then he won't be back. Sam - only riding top tier and abroad. 90 years of racing at Wolves in 2018. Some celebration planned not sure what yet. Doyle has texted CVS about a team place. He assumes he has sent one to every club. The future of Wolves??? - likely to be with shareholders (preffered) or a consortium. Could be happening soon be the sounds of it. AGM STUFF......... No TV deal in place. More discussions to take place. Seems clubs aren't happy with no money deal. Doyle is likely to be riding in the top flight (according to Pearson). Pete Adams was at AGM, not CVS. Neither agree with 1 rider over 8 rule or dropping of the 2 Brit rule. 9.00 averages for GP riders or riders out the UK for a season. Only one Tactical substitute ride per meeting, in line with Europe (since when as wasn't the case in 2017???) The minutes have yet to be checked and averages confirmed. No restriction on DU riders. The ISLB confirm that Poland should have priority on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. What happens on bank holiday Mondays is yet to be seen. Glad we never signed Vaculik now. C. Holder wont be reassessed will he? I'm assuming as he rode here is 2017 average counts. Vaculik is still a good signing on 9. Doyle is looking for a British club.
Woz01
Piotr Pawlicki isn't a GP rider in 2018. Anyway it's ridiculous giving a set figure to a rider just because they are in the GPS or missed a season.
