Premiership Grand Final 2nd Leg - Wolves Vs Swindon 4 Oct

Exactly. Riss cost Wolves the title but everyone wants to take it out on Chris Harris. Sums up this forum though.

Even Peter Adams had no faith in Riss towards the end.

Post 398? ;):D

I think you'll find it's often Wolves supporters on here that keep resurrecting it, especially trying to blame Aces riders for the unfortunate accidents. It doesn't matter now why we lost or how fair or otherwise it was, we lost, we weren't in the final and most of us have moved on. My concern is that things are calmed down before we meet in the KO Cup.

I hope we get two decent meetings and you will have a wider choice of guests. However, I do understand that it is nigh on impossible to replace Lindgren at Monmore but you can try and get a NSS specialist for the other leg.

With a complete Aces team and Wolves using a guest and R/R, there is only 1 conclusion that I can come to, and it doesn't have to spelled out !

Harris is not a top rider anymore he has more bad meetings in the top flight than good one's championship is where he will Finnish his career

Disgusting social media post asking if Rohan and Kenny got winners medals.Absolute gross behaviour which we have come to expect from these so called fans.Fortunately there are good enlightened Wolves posters on here!Seriously get well soon Freddie and Jacob and let's put all this animosity between these two great clubs to bed.

That will be such as the following post from an apparently respected Wolves fan on social media...

"Did Rohan Tungate and Kenneth Bjerre get Swindon winners medals tonight?"

If Wolves fans want to dish it out to our riders they need to learn to take some back. I wish Jacob and Freddie the best of luck in their recovery by the way. Never nice to see riders hurt.

Oh, and for the record I'm still waiting to hear about these social media posts from Aces riders that one particular Wolves fan got so precious about...

I take it you are referring to the posts on the WOLVES fanspage in reply to moronic goading fans from Belle Vue??

like you say, don't go looking for trouble because you will likely start it.

Sometimes saying nothing really is the best option.

Some of the goading by aces fans on a WOLVES fanspage (yes that's correct a WOLVES fanspage) was beyond juvenile.

Agreed.

Absolutely couldn't care less about a meaningless competition that was binned years ago and resurrected for this year just like the promotion/relegation. No one really cares.

We won't beat anyone at the Green without our top 2 so it's a completely meaningless competition for the fans and the sport.

Aces won't lose it but no doubt we will never hear the last of it.

Well done the Robins - showed great resolve to pick themselves up after Monday's under performance at the Abbey.

Despite the excellent start it seemed to be drifting away from Swindon with the Monmore men coping admirably without their top two, in particular I thought Masters and Howarth were excellent value and was impressed with the progress that Nathan Greaves has made. To be honest given the way he was riding and the form of Bellego on the night I couldn't see him finishing 4th in heat 14.

i thought Nick Morris's ride in Heat 13 to catch and pass Sam Masters was worthy of bringing the trophy back to Blunsdon.

Swindon are good value as champions, finishing top of the league and with the 17 match winning run deserved the top award.

Commiserations to Wolves who came within a whisker of winning it; on another night it could easily have gone their way. Given they were without their Swedish duo they and their fans should feel proud of their performance over both legs of the final

Just one final point; Bomber is taking a lot of flack for last night but I'm sure he was doing everything he could to to get among the points. I don't think there's a more honest rider in British speedway and giving 100% for whoever he is riding for is in his DNA.

Once again well done the Budgies - 2017 Premier League Champions!! :D

Probably won't mean anything as none of these people will actually attend a live meeting but the amount of people who stopped me at work today to say they watched the last few heats and were hooked was amazing. Im the only speedway fan in an office of 80+ so its rare having anyone to discuss it with. If only we could get these people along to a meeting.

Watched it back today and Morris werent half bad passing on the horror track!!! Inside and out. Maybe some riders just aren't good enough to handle it!!

As social media is a different medium altogether, I feel it had no relevance being mentioned here.

Speak to the management, prob T Russell or one of the new consortium best and try to get a company discount deal next season for one meeting

Similar thing happened to me once. Postie arrived just as I left for work, took the post with me which included a couple of speedway DVDS. Ending up using them to configure the DVD player on network PCs and many folk stopped to watch the on-screen action. "Is this the speedway you are always talking about?", " and they can actually pass around the outside", "these guys ride all over the world?", "no gears or brakes (or fear!) at up 70MPH you say?". " Yep" to all. "It looks great, I'd love to see it 'live in the flesh' so, when is the next race in Hull ?", tricky one, was hoping no-one would ask that....

a reserve cost them the title?....Bomber should of only been beaten by Doyle and possibly Morris, he should of been nailed on for a minimum of 9 points.

Bomber was utter garbage.

Gave of his best, struggled for pace on the night and tried three bikes. Not his evening; down Wolves way (not that I speak for anyone else) I reckon we accept that, congratulate Swindon and their excellent supporters and move on.
