See on the Premiership pages its rumoured that Peterborough are one of four Championship teams along with Glasgow, Ipswich and Sheffield to be moving up a league.

Think the same was rumoured last season to..would be a good move for our 2 clubs though...with more local meetings

Think the top league teams are desparate for a few to move up rather than have to accept a watered down one big lead

Dont see how Boro could if fixed nights remain

Couldn't they do a swindon? It doesn't bother them about race nights.

No way could a team in the top league run on a Sunday afternoon

All speculation at the moment and it all depends on what form the leagues take,  I will be happy which ever is the race day and would accept either league as long as it is competitive.

i think Sunday afternoon works well at the Showground, be a shame to move away from that

Made me chuckle when Rathbone said that you can't beat speedway under lights. Certainly no chance of that on a Sunday afternoon.

Suppose the lights are still there in the day light so the speedway is still under them he didnt say they were switched on

Have you ever thought of entering politics? With that kind of logic you're certainly well qualified for the job :D

I don't think the envisaged "top" league is THAT kind of league level.

Considering that anyone half decent seems wedded or linked to Poland then it'd certainly not even be a British style top standard to allow Sunday running.

Any riders that get signed to ride for British clubs should have a clause in there contracts saying they do sign knowing that they will give those clubs concerned priority over any foreign commitments and should they sign and ignore this then there British contracts will be torn up and banned from British speedway . It's time for the BSPA to get tough with these riders who are just using Britain as a stocking filler , full commitment or don't bother coming.

I've always said that the race to the bottom continues and British Speedway has yet to bottom out but that might do it! Rathbone sort of went there but on the Polish issue but your proposal really is the Hahnenkamm.
