Haza
Whilst we all hope England make the final we’ve two matches to get through first we win both of them before we should even think about the final so sort of getting ahead of our selfs here though it is only next Sunday - the obvious solution to me would be have the double header the following Sunday the day after Cardiff or is the Showground unavalble ? True on the first point and: Rathbone added: “Under normal circumstances we wouldn’t be running on that date, but it is simply a case of there being no alternatives" Panthers are aware of the date clash between their Sunday double-header and the football World Cup Final, but the meeting does need to go ahead due to stadium availability. I guess the club will just have to take a chance then - going by every WC since 1966 England won’t make the final anyway so not going to be a problem- but if they just was to make the final it could be a massive financial hit on the club . Looking at the fixture list on the club website you’ve a meeting Friday and double header Sunday what could happen if England make the final good crowd Friday poor crowd Sunday either way even if England doesn’t make the final it’s an expensive weekend again it could split the crowd - I also see only one home fixture in August that’s not good either in the holiday season . The answer could be switch the double header to Friday with Lakeside say 7pm, Sheffield Sunday with 12pm start?

So, if Peterborough make the play-offs, have you any assurances that there will be available dates for the last seven weeks of the season

Stiltonpanther
Logically they will cancel the Lakeside meeting as that is a cup match and have a double header on one of the other Sunday fixtures. They can then run Sheffield meeting at 7pm. Problem solved.

Most people will enjoy a drink or two whilst watching the football so won't be able to drive.

If they can’t not drink for a day (irrespective of the situation) then they require medical help, as their drinking will no doubt lead to anyway at some point.

proud panther
Can somebody explain how we ran nearly twice as many fixtures last year, or what we would have done if it was 2 home & 2 away this season ?
