40-38
What an utter joke. Laurel and Hardy appear to have taken over the promotion of Leicester Speedway If it weren't for being cast adrift by the cut off you do wonder if the riders would have turned round and told them to do one after that. Pinny
This Bates guy seems another new promoter to the sport who hasnt a clue how to dea with things, Bottom of the league in both leagues and multiple changes that havent worked. All season long fans of both Sheffield and Leicester have criticised him. At least its clear to see where Josh Bates gets his shocking attitude from. Sidney the robin
This club is portraying everything i hate about speedway musical chairs how can any supporter relate to a set of riders when there are endless changes. In my lifetime Swindon have finished bottom three/four times that's life get on with you pick a 1/7 that should be it for the season unless there is a GUENUINE reason. The rulebook needs ripping up go back to the basics again this winning at all costs is putting another nail in the coffin of British speedway the biggest gripe i have is the entertainment level and it is certainly not worth 17 pound an evening ( the star of the show the tractor).
r8gdp
Got to agree the 1 to 7 you pick at the beginning of the season that should be it only changes allowed for genuine injuries can t keep up with all the comings and goings at Sheffield so much so I am losing interest in the sport along with a few other s
Big Al
Last year at Sheffield they made changes which worked out, so possibly thought that they had the "Midas touch" when in fact it was more luck. Maybe this year has brought them back to earth a bit. Can't overlook the fact that in Leicester's case theres been a substantial degree of enforcedness behind the changes, but I don't think that giving Josh Bates so much rope helped both teams, in fact it's caused significant damage. Absolutely agree with this, it's become a circus, without the entertainment value. I used to like getting to know a rider (not personally but their performances/ability) and then want to see how they progress. I now no longer have a team affinity due to the rapid fire changes every year juts before the play-offs and instead follow certain riders no matter which team they ride for. Hence I only see around 6 meetings a year now rather than the 30 odd in years gone by.
Big Al
TSo Leicester missed the target by failing to sign NBJ earlier when they had chance? And in spite of word going round at start of season that Erik Riss didn't want to double up this year, his words on TV yesterday stated the opposite! Everyone's an expert with hindsight of course, but just about every in-season signing made has seen their average go down, and in many cases not just by a small margin! Wells, to me, has been especially disappointing after that very good start. I wonder if Simon Stead needs to work on his skills at giving riders good old bollockings for poor performance. Maybe he's just too nice
Teromaafan
Triple celebration on Monday according to the Lions website. Fans will expect that whatever is planned will be bettered at the end of next season (hopefully there is one) if we can kick on and finish bottom but one. GoldenGauntlet
New asset to be announced at Monday's meeting. As the club state a new rider joining the asset base (didn't realise there was one) rather than a new signing, I am guessing it's someone who has been in the team this year. SteveLyric2
Probably Hans.

James Sergeant was signed this season & is a Lions asset. Think Jan Graversen is one too, Peter Ljung also.
