89buttons
With refreshed perspective and determination surely Gino would be worth another go..... lots of people at the start of this season thought there were better options than heeps - even disappointed we couldnt fit sarj in - and look how his season has turned out, probably one of the most improved riders in the league! Baldyman
Something like that but wouldn't it be lower in top league or a min of 4?

CookieIpswich
😂😂😂😂 won't get that size crowd on a regular basis unfortunately
89buttons
😂😂😂😂 won't get that size crowd on a regular basis unfortunately No 4000 every week is unlikely, but with the link up itfc and all the promotion theyve been doing with that the final showed the amount of those that could be interested and chose to come off of the back of the effort put in to promote the event. If they could attract half of those that came for the final regularly then that would be massive for the club.
CookieIpswich
They came only because it was the play off final and wanted to be part of something special locally no other reason I hate to use the phrase glory hunting Perhaps they might get an extra 500 for the local derbies but fully expect crowd levels to fall back to normal levels unless more is done
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
When speedway attendances are discussed its often said that turnstyles work in a funny way.... One for the club one for the taxman so there must actually have been 8000 there 😜 (Its just a joke btw 😆)
CookieIpswich
Only way witches can afford going up other than attendances is improving commercially which I'm unsure if the current promotion understand fully to maximise the potential income Or pass it over to Guy Nicholls and let him have a go tho I understand he is building his business and the witches are not a powerful marketing tool
2ndbendbeerhut
I love the pic from the paper showing the massive queues..... That line is for OAPs 😉
Baldyman
I think the extra people were just a load of old timers that used to go.

Baldyman
Just like me actually, but Im not that close to the oap queue yet
Baldyman
Anyone on here that can help the massif with giving out our trophy to our rider of the year?? Kevin long sorted it all out for us last year. I have asked chris Louis by tweet, and the the supporters club by e mail, unfortunately no one seems to want to answer. It would be nice to give the rider the trophy infront of the crowd instead of outside in the car park after the meeting.
CookieIpswich
Surely someone is available, I would offer but I don't want to do it ideally
Baldyman
We just would like to do it on the centre green like last year, that's what we need help with, not the actuall giving of said trophy. Obviously some others may like to applaud the rider as well. I've also now sent Ritchie Hawkins a private message. CookieIpswich
That makes more sense, just rock up at the pit gate on the night 😁
Baldyman
But that's not exactly the best way to do it, but it may have to be. If the club don't want it done on centre green that's fair enough, a message back from someone saying that would be nice.
