Don't have a problem with riders doubling up personally, as long as they don't miss meetings. Which I hope will be sorted out by the Premiership moving to Monday / Thursday nights as rumoured. Hopefully the Championship will have a similar line up to this season, as this suits Berwick. Not sure there are enough riders out there willing to ride in Britain to go to one league, without weakening the league to include a lot of current National League riders.

Best bet way if there are 2 leagues would be Monday/ Tuesday Premiership and Friday / Saturday Championship, freeing up Wednesday / Thursday and Sunday for riders who ride in Sweden, Denmark and Poland. Might not be a bad thing to use all of the available riders from all 3 leagues, they may be lesser riders and a lot of the overpaid big hitters causing the financial problem will depart and allow speedway to recover. By making it more of an Amateur speedway, will take the financial pressure off the clubs, and help them recover and grow.

There is no doubt drastic changes in the way speedway is run need to take place in November. It is unlikely to change in my opinion, as speedway is like an old dinosaur, run by dinosaurs who have tinkered at the edges for years, generally changed little and in most cases making it worse.

Swedens top league is and always has been Tuesdays. Are you suggesting tgat to accomodate a restructure in the British Leagues that they should relinquish that?

Tuesday and Thursday, but if their main day is Tuesday then I suppose the alternative is the Thursday along with Monday for The Premiership . I am not sure why it is Premier not a massive difference between the 2 top tiers although the 2nd tier always seems to suffer because of the problems created in the top tier. There is an opportunity now to bring everything together as one product and sort out the problems, as it strengthens, then consideration could be given to split back into 2 products. At the moment the top 2 tiers are fragmenting and becoming less and less attractive to the paying public, and without the paying public keeping it going, IT'S GONE.

If we are worried about Denmarks race night we are in trouble IMO.

We seem to be worried about Denmark, Sweden and Poland, so we must be in serious trouble. Czech had to make massive changes even in how the meeting is run and the amount of riders on a ,night , however they did it and speedway is starting to recover, they are starting to go back to to the traditional structure now

There is very little Team Speedway in Czech on a weekly basis though.

Agree with Topsoil regarding doubling up riders, if as is rumoured and the Premiership do go onto Monday Thursday fixed night racing then that should help matters. I don`t think there`s anywhere near enough riders to go to one big league and anyway the gap between the best riders and the riders down at reserve would be way to big.

the gap between best and reserves is massive just now IMO .I don't agree there is not enough riders to go round we just have too take a step back to go forward again! Riders riding for every team in the league is just dragging the credibility of the sport down. Its only 4 rider/ 4 laps doesn't suit every fan.You have you get it back to being a genuine Team sport again.

Tickets available from Castlegate Interiors

I would imagine there are lots available, as it is out at Marshall Meadows. Try Lisa Youngman at Youngmans Carpets, ÂŁ15 per ticket no buffet this year for that.

No Buffet ?

Was told no buffet Norm, meet the riders and music. Will not be going myself going out to Marshall Meadows doesn't suit me, B&G same capacity but, plus the bar, ÂŁ15 plus taxis there and back and ÂŁ4.50 a pint, expensive night out just to get pissed. I believe Nick & Jye will be back in OZ, so not many riders
