Conkers
Russian Final Rounds 3 & 4, Kamensk Ural January 5/6 Draw: 1 Nikita Shadrin 2 Andrey Shishegov 3 Dmitry Koltakov 4 Sergey Makharov 5 Dmitry Khomitsevich 6 Evgeny Sharov 7 Vasily Nesytyh 8 Sergey Karachintsev 9 Nikita Toloknov 10 Daniil Ivanov 11 Dinar Valeev 12 Igor Kononov 13 Mikhail Litvinov 14 Dmitry Solyannikov 15 Nikita Tarasov 16 Vladimir Bobin R17 Evgeny Saydullin R18 Eduard Krysov The final starts at 8am GMT on Friday and Saturday, and I'm hoping Kamesk Ural will have a live feed both days. Soon as I know any links I'll post them here. If you aren't able to watch it, then you can follow DutchGrassTrack's updates for Friday here: https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/261/russisch-kampioenschap-ijsspeedway-ronde-3-kamensk-uralsky.html and Saturday here: https://live.baansportfansite.nl/event/262/russisch-kampioenschap-ijsspeedway-ronde-4-kamensk-uralsky.html With Koltakov seeded to the Ice Speedway Gladiators series as defending champion, the battle is on for the remaining qualifying places. Should be a good couple of meetings, and as I'm only snapping at Chorley v Harrogate Town on Saturday, I should be able to watch all of Saturday's coverage! daveallan81
In heat 8, when the rider caught the bales on the back straight, why was the rider in red (Makarov) also excluded from the rerun?

Seeing as Makarov was riding the inside line,i can only think at one stage he was with both wheels inside the line.Hard to see,but that is often the cause of an exclusion Results from last nights Swedish League meeting.Franky Zorn with a 5 ride max,but could only help his team into 2nd behind the strong Svensson family,Ove Ledstrom and Martin Haarahiltunen, looking very strong.Hans Weber,Harald Simon and Jan Klatovsky the best of the rest https://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Isracing&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=6&CompetitionId=9091 Edited January 6, 2018 by iris123

It is the same unpleasant weather here in Bavaria. We had lots of rain in the last few days, and the rivers have high water. Today was supposed to be sunny, but right now it it still grey and foggy outside.
iris123
Koltakov looking a class apart at this stage of the season Great race from Kononov to win, when it looked at one stage as if he might be relegated to 3rd!!! Koltakov beats Khomitsevitch by the length of the straight to prove my point!!! Edited January 6, 2018 by iris123

There was a run off between Karchintsev and Kononov, where Kononov crashed, and was excluded. Karachintsev is now in the ISG, whilst Kononov should be the nomination for the European Championship along with the winner of the U-21 Championship. Trouble with the German federation.Just like his father then? Seems the trouble stems from last year when he wasn't nominated for the EM after being the only german rider to compete the year before. The german nominations for the word championship quails are Ylitornio Niedermaier,Busch and Pletschacher Örnsköldsvik G.Bauer and Hans Weber See Luca Bauer is in the Ö-vik line-up,but not sure on what licence,if Italian or not.But going on his form over the weekend in Sweden,i don't expect him to trouble the top riders Edited January 8, 2018 by iris123

f-s-p
Watched the weather for the first time in 4 months. Looking good for Ytornio. Temp has been -3 to -15 or so and from now on between -5 to -10. So the ice should hold. First year they had problems with lack of snow, now they’ve been swimming in it. But no new snow anymore so shouldnt be a problem. Looking forward for the drive ... EDIT Should have stayed quiet. Sunny -19 for the meeting. EDIT2 ...and to the reason I dont follow forecasts anymore: its now cloudy -15 for the meeting. Edited January 10, 2018 by f-s-p
