Glasgow V Sheffield Play Offs 2nd Leg Tuesday 26 September

That's what happens when you sign riders that you don't own I'm afraid. Poor from dan though still should have rode last night.

Heard from several people that he's not enjoyed being at Glasgow this year.

Dan enjoyed his time at Edinburgh a return was never going to happen with belle vue and Edinburgh riding on the same night.

Enjoyed himself so much that he only stayed there one season...

All the best

Rob

That's irrelevant . As you can see , lack of track success hasn't dulled or diminished the smug levels .

Happy with my teams performance to only lose by 3 points after losing two riders (one been our number 1 and a track specialist) and on a track that appeared to be tricky track conditions for me showed determination and character that the team has shown in the last couple of months.

Hopefully we can now move on and finish the job off, Thursday and Saturday with a fully fit team, but Ipswich are no push overs and I fear after last night meeting that we could have a problem with the fitness of some of our riders.

Totally agree,i wonder if we would have won if it had got to heat 15 ? Just hope the lads are fit for tomorrow.

I see Bewley is down to ride at Belle Vue tonight . I know he's just a young lad and is only doing what Belle Vue have told him to do , but it's not on . Exciting talent or not , we can't have that , we want riders commited to the Tigers' cause and his Tigers career should be over .

There are now a few riders that are picking their nights/teams for riding. Holder & R Lambert are 2 more that come to mind for criticism. But, talent or not, what can you do as that is why you sign these riders, for improvement. If other teams like this then they will prioritise when they are racing but there is nothing that can be done with the rules we have in place at the moment.

If riders pull out within 24 hours of a meeting then they should be barred from racing for 48 hours. If it is for sickness then this could be passed on if viral. If it is through injury then similar as the injury could flare up but not fully settle & if racing within 24 hours could put themselves and/or other riders in jeopardy.

bit of a fantasy bringing in greg . even if fit .

Better than that it was a joke by the original poster who actually said....

"Anyway after the first leg we could have brought Greg Hancock in and it still wouldn't have made any difference."

Substitute any others as takes your fancy:

"Anyway after the first leg we could have brought Cristiano Ronaldo in and it still wouldn't have made any difference."

"Anyway after the first leg we could have brought Santa Claus in and it still wouldn't have made any difference."

"Anyway after the first leg we could have brought Spider Man in and it still wouldn't have made any difference."

"Anyway after the first leg we could have brought Lewis Hamilton in and it still wouldn't have made any difference."

Sorry, appreciate that Lewis Hamilton is otherwise engaged at the minute so scrub the last one.

How can you chop the end off someone's quote, the part which gives the explanation why he left, and then present yourself as any kind of impartial observer. A pathetic post.

Where I have presented myself as an impartial observer? When it comes to Glasgow v Edinburgh matters, I'll always back the Tigers.

Typical forked tongue from LS as he still fails to admit he deliberately doctored Blobby's original post in order to twist the facts

Really sad Mr P thinks this is smart - no wonder there's little chance Oxford will ever return if he is involved in presenting facts for the campaigners  .

Oh dear... no real speedway fan would gloat at the closure of another track.

I remember the days when we had some cracking Edinburgh posters on here. No wonder they disappeared from the forum - they must be ashamed of you.

You can't resist doctoring a quote by selectively omitting part of it, to twist things - still if it keeps you happy, so be it.

Just to clarify your interpretation, I am not gloating at the closure of Oxford, just sad that if you conduct yourself in the campaign to save Cowley in a similar fashion as on here, then you will be a liability in the process.

If you wish to constructively respond, have the balls to fully quote in future.

The fact that you brought up Oxford at all shows you up for what you are. Were Oxford part of the discussion? No.

If you were trying to anger me, you've failed. You're simply made me sorry for the decent Edinburgh fans. The ones who used to be forum regulars and then got fed up with the likes of yourself.

I didn't change any words. And I did select only the words that specifically applied to my response as per the forum rules.
