lucifer sam
FRIDAY NIGHT ACTION AT THE EDDIE WRIGHT RACEWAY HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions stage possibly their last home meeting of the season at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday evening (7.30pm), when they host Peterborough Panthers in Knockout Cup quarter-final action. Scorpions need to overturn an 18-point-deficit from the first leg at the East Of England Showground, to progress to the semi-finals and prolong their season. If Scorpions qualify, they will face either Glasgow or Newcastle in the next round, on a yet-to-be-determined date. Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey says: “The odds are not stacked in our favour, with Peterborough tracking a full-strength team. “But we’ll go out there and see what we can do to extend our season.” Much is still up in the air regarding the 2018 season, including Scorpions’ regular race-night. Godfrey adds: “This meeting is a chance for supporters to show up in bumper numbers and prove to me that we should move back to a Friday evening. “I’m sure there will be some terrific racing, especially with former British Grand Prix Champion Chris Harris in the Peterborough line-up. “I can’t wait to see Bomber and Josh Auty going at it hammer-and-tong around the Eddie Wright Raceway.” Admission prices for Friday: Adult: £15.00 Student/OAP: £13.00 Child (10 – 17): £5.00 Child (0 – 9) Free (accompanied by paying adult) Family Ticket £35 (2 adults, 2 Children 10-17) Match Programme: £1.00 Expected teams for Friday: Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions: 1. Lewis Kerr, 2. Jake Allen, 3. Michael Palm Toft, 4. Ryan Douglas, 5. Josh Auty (captain), 6. Tero Aarnio, 7. Josh Bailey. Peterborough Panthers: 1. Jack Holder, 2. Bradley Wilson-Dean, 3. Paul Starke, 4. Ulrich Ostergaard, 5. Chris Harris, 6. Simon Lambert, 7. Tom Bacon. Edited September 22, 2017 by lucifer sam

Bostonian
With Harris and Holder there, going to try my best to get to this.. Should see some good action. Be interesting to see crowd numbers.. I much prefer a Sunday evening and much easier to get to, plus more chance of higher amount of away fans. But, will see what the public of Scunthorpe prefer!
