Ipswich V Edinburgh P/o Semi Final 21st September

As much as I'd love to be there tonight, the threat of the wet stuff has put me off. If I go to a restaurant and pay for a three course meal I expect three courses, but at Speedway I can pay for 15 heats and won't get a refund if I'm short changed.

So hopefully the lads will win and the weather will be better for the final.

Lucky you never went to the Cricket test match today then

Good effort to stretch it out to 10 in the end.

The rain nearly turned it into a lottery and certainly helped the Monarchs in the middle.

What a star Nathan was again and the poor sod has had another bike ruined.

Brave (but correct) decision to exclude Riss 👏👏

Phew we made hard work of that, well done Edinburgh for keeping us honest!! Have to thank goodness you were without Mark tbh.

That rain played right into Edinburgh's hands, that 5-1 in the rain boosted their confidence no end.

Would have liked more than the 10 really but that's what we've got, and to repeat Rory's mantra no last places lads!!

Massive thanks to the Scotsman without whom we would never have made the match tonight, always good to spend time in your company as well. Thanks again hospitality next time you are at Armadale

Shocking decision in heat 14. This is the play offs semi-final no holds back. Hopefully that isn't a deciding factor as it should be decided in track not in the refs box.

How was that shocking . Greaves had gated him and he knew it .

Absolutely the correct decision, Nathan clearly ahead and Riss turned left on him trying to clamp him achieving nothing but sticking his footrest in the back wheel! 👍🏻

Was hoping for more of a lead but happy enough with 10, 10 point head start means we only need 41 tomorrow night!

Have to say I don't think that ht7 should have been run while the rain was coming down as hard as it was, glad it didn't mark a huge turning point like it could of done!

Another great guest appearance at Foxhall for mason, only man to beat masters on the night - fairplay! Same again tomorrow would do us very nicely!

I'm a big fan of Erik but I'm sorry he turned left on Nathan and was rightly excluded

Hardly turned left. Twobriders competing for the best line into first corner. Agreed greaves was in pole position but too tight to make an exclusion. should have been all 4 back

Think we'll to agree to disagree on this one, if Nathan has made the best start is clearly ahead from gate 1, has gone in a straight line towards the first bend and had remained no more than a foot or two from the kerb, then the only way the incident can occur is the way it did...Riss tried to lean on him they got tangled up, Riss at fault and correctly excluded. What can Nathan have possibly done to avoid that crash....nothing! What could Riss have done? Ridden marginally wider and battled for the place in the first corner and the rest of the race!

I'm not suggesting in any way Erik intended for the crash to happen and I sincerely hope both riders aren't hurt and the machinery bill isn't too high as Nathan in particular has suffered a lot of that this year! But Erik caused the stoppage and was right to go IMO

Appears the telling factor tonight was that the 13 points return for the missing Heeps & Sedgmen was probably more than they collectively would have scored, whereas a meagre 2 point return for the absent Mark Riss was well below his recent scores at Ipswich.

Cannot see Witches surrendering a 10 point cushion tomorrow, especially if MR is missing or is not fully fit.
