Bald Bloke
Robert won his last race, but Lynn used MPT in ht 15..Is that a sign his knee is playing up ...?
Mattfordfan
not at all lahti is a class act I know but Starke isn't and We wont have the luxury of using Lahti 7 times in one night. Robert won his last race, but Lynn used MPT in ht 15..Is that a sign his knee is playing up ...? Probably protecting him for the Rye meeting. Mattfordfan
Blade now out not looking good. Still drizzling. I think they will do 10 Heats on it. Cut off soon so I think everyone will be keen to ride on the Rye side apart from KK.
tellboy
Whilst i think Poole deserved to win tonight i think it should have been 3 pts and not 4.Why didn't Andersen get excluded in his first race i don't know.First he went out on the track when all 4 riders from the previous race were still on it.I don't know if that was a rule break but all the shouting from the pits made me think it was.If that wasn't a rule break and he was allowed on the track for his race while the others were on it,he then went back in the pits which is a rule break. So in that sense tonight i think Poole were lucky to get 4 pts and not 3. Noticed Shovlar saying it was a good meeting,I guess Poole must have won To be fair to Shovlar it was ok but we have had better this season. Lahti definitely the match winner for Poole, thats all you need is a big hitting reserve that could win you the Premier League play-offs.Would he be at reserve if that was the case.Because i think if Starke went to reserve that would be game over for Poole. Anyway onwards and upwards we still have a match at home to go now .Maybe two

Rayleigh
Well its Pooles to lose now, again they did what they had to do and I am sure that they will get the result they need at Somerset tomorrow, by hook or by crook. Whilst Lahtis score will catch the eye I thought Andersen was the match winner, his evening even included the required 3-3 in the last heat. Despite his waning abilities he is still Mr Reliable and a consummate professional and not for the first time put the Baby Turbo twins to shame. One day he will be a big lose to Poole speedway and British speedway as a whole.
Haza
At least with the second meeting being off can get back to normal and away from these crazy double headers - and I might even put in an appearance it certainly holds more appeal than it did last night .Though having just read all Poole now need is to beat Somerset to make 4 th spot I doubt very much the Rye meeting will be run as it will become a meaningless meeting so pointless running it . So hope Buster offered some sort refund last night ? Edited September 1, 2017 by Haza
Rayleigh
For all the conspiracy theorists, Robert Lambert did not ride in heat 15 after winning Heat 13 against Andersen & Kurtz (the riders that rode in heat 15) his replacement ran a poor last which allowed Poole to get the 4th and probably most important point of the season, yet he was suited and booted to ride in the second match against Rye House
kelvinht
I'm assuming with Lambert's injuries it was simply a case of resting Lambert so he could ride in the second meeting. That said, apart from one race win had looked poor all evening. It wouldn't have made a any difference to us if we had of got a 5-1. He did say on the mic that his king's Lynn bike was being serviced and was struggling on his other one. g13webb
Hans Anderssen is out of the same mold as Niels, true professionals and want to do their utmost each time they ride. What a pity some of these young upstarts dont take a leaf out of these older professionals books, when doing your best for the team was the most important aspect of league racing... There would always be places in my team for riders like Hans and Niels.... Top professionals...

Steve Shovlar
Nightmare journey back last night. M11 closed southbound had to go through Baldock center as bypass closed. M3 entry closed on M25 so had to detour through Sunningdale. Detour signs wrong took us in loop! M27 closed, A31 closed. Had to go through Southampton and New Forest to Christchurch. Got in at 2.30am. Still, we won so worth it. Wont be back for the Lynn v Rye meeting so would like to know where to send ticket for refund. foreverblue
I thought this was a pretty good meeting, some good races, Lahti was on fire and as I have said previously his form of late has been much better and deserves a place next year, unfortunately if we make the play offs he won't be at reserve. The rain came just as the Poole meeting finished so after a chat with some fellow Pirates, a look at the track and a long drive home in prospect I took the decision to go, good decision as it turned out. So what if there is a rain delay between meetings and they can't fit 10 heats in before the curfew? Just call me Michael Fish!
