SteveZodiac
Bit disappointed with the performance. Masters looked much better and was unlucky with engine failures. Apart from heat 15 Freddie was quite poor - he was lucky in the Tactical Ride that Aarnio had engine failure as he was never going to catch him, and then let Morris past on the last bend after being well in front. No matter how many times our riders go to Swindon they never look fast enough. Greaves was the victim of over trying in the ride that he got injured - he made a great gate and was just over riding when he spun and fell - can't fault him for enthusiasm.
Steve Shovlar
You used to watch speedway in Wiltshire supposingly ?? you lived there as well what a prat you sound.Your name always pops up as a Poole spokesman for the Poole Pirates you speak for most of the fans total rubbish there are some real decent ones on this forum and you certainly dont relate to any of them. I did watch speedway in Swindon for 3 seasons as a youngster in the early 1970's. I was taken to Swindon as a child from Peterborough by my parents, and at the first opportunity at the age of 18, escaped and moved to beautiful Dorset. I am a spokeman for nobody other than myself, though thank you for holding me in such high regard.
keef robin
Another great result and a few good races but bloody hell they have got to do something about all the restarts and wasting of time rerunning a restart. They ruined the evening. They have got to have a 1min or 30 second restart limit and stop any team opening the pit gate. All the Robins scored well but it was an expensive night for a few. Arnio did a lot better than I thought he might but unfortunately while way in front of Lingren in heat 11 blew an engine. Another rider to blow an engine was Sam Masters. Unfortunately Wolves were not as good as they have been, some due to riders coming back from injury but you can only race who turns up. The Robins on top of the league and will get first pick in the playoffs. No doubt we will get more bovine excreta from Shovler but that is to be expected. Who said British speedway is dead with around 9000 peeps pouring into the Abbey these last 11 days. Some bank accounts going into overdraft..Have to keep them coming back, far too many hold ups last night. Good to see the riders going into crowd afterwards, should be a victory lap after each race. Don't know who the announcer was. Had brief chat with Aarnio, few grands worth of engine blown when leading Freddie. Muesli same problem. Tric trac
Aarnio is God.. Bowtell to be world champion in 2026...I wonder what price betfred would give me on that. Big black clouds forming over the other side of the stadium but luckily no rain.. As Orlov said, too much mucking about at the start... I thought masters rode well for wolves and was a bit unlucky.. Bellego didn't look himself but the rest rode well... Ellis was flying in heat one..
hagonshocker
Amazing amount of humility shown by Poole fans on twitter tonight....NOT! Only in Wiltshire eh Penhill Boy? The amount of vitriol aimed at Rye House by quite a few Poole fans is quite incredible which is there prerogative but it makes Shovlar and his comment a little erm pot/kettle....😜

Don't kid yourself, nobody o/s of Dorset holds you in high regard & as I understand it, there's even a few in Dorset who aren't too keen. Midland Red
Swindon Speedway @swindonspeedway 1h1 hour agoMoreTONIGHT'S parade now 7.45pm. Jason Doyle in serious delays from a sadly fatal m-way accident. Thanks @wolvesspeedway for co-operation. Whilst that is very very sad indeed - it's a trifle bewildering how Doyle appears to have been the only rider delayed by the accidentPerhaps this suggests that he was running quite late anyway Tragic though the incident was, Doyle I assume would have only missed one ride - surely that's how it should have been Tough luck, maybe, but the riders must ensure that they're at the track in good time

He was held up for 4 hours and if there was no accident he would have been at Swindon at 3.45. Next time you may want to check out the facts. A ORLOV
Shield and Dagger or Fox and Hounds keef? Do not forget Engerland are on the tv kicking a bag of air about so the showing of a decent sport in pubs is limited.

Fair comment - there was no indication (as far as I had seen) as to where the incident and hold up occurred, so it was unfortunate for Jason indeedNevertheless, I'm not sure about delaying the start of a meeting due to the late arrival of just one rider, no.1 or not If he had been delayed longer, would the meeting have been further held back, or started on time without him? Precedents are dangerous things, and tend to have bad knock-on effects - that's just my concern Thanks for providing the details of the accident
