Wow the arrogance of some Swindon fans! Some of you are going to come crashing back to reality with a very loud thump.

Remember when Poole finished 24 points clear of Coventry and ran out of steam? Remember Swindon going to Wolves in the final only to get stuffed out of sight to make the second leg a formality?

Some think the title is in the bag. It isn't. If Poole make 4th, don't believe it will be a stroll to the final. It won't be.[/quote

whoooooooaaaaaaaa. Can someone help me land this one. It's a whopper!

And your purple Chinos ?

Would be happy with M Davey but the guest rulings may screw using him for all the playoff meetings, which is why I am wondering who might replace Zach for one of them. We might have to have the first semi at Swindon to get round that, unless they change the date of the final 2nd leg which is a wed which will allow us to race away first. This of course is if we win the semi.

I beg your pardon orlovski, you know I only wear pink chinos for speedway, matches my green jacket and red shoes, wouldn't be seen in purple, a definite fashion faux pas.

Its called banter

And if a Poole fan posted the same it would be slated as arrogance.

Swindon fans thinking it is a formality and all their team has to do is turn up and they can start the celebrations.

How we will laugh if it all comes crashing down. Pride comes before a fall. I guess the proverb, humility in defeat, grace in victory, doesnt seem to be known in Wiltshire.

Most aren't expecting us to win playoffs I'm not never do think we have done superbly to get where we are but your just doing your usual thing and turning everything round on others to take the heat off your own side...you always do it and as for humility and grace that's quite funny coming from you it did give me a chuckle so thanks for that

Oh and if you believe arrogance and a lack of humility originates from Wiltshire then that obvious explains a lot about you Swindon Town boy...have a word with yourself you are embarrassing yourself

Swindon will win. Masters didnt look fit on Monday.

Good job your not a Swindon fan as you'd be accused of arrogance Edited by hagonshocker

Oh - the irony

As you are aware when the playoffs start the 4 teams start level and anything can happen. I don't think anyone is arrogant or over-confident or thinks it's a formality.

If you want to laugh if Swindon do slip up then that is your prerogative.

Sounds like the same scenario that happened back in 2010 when Matt Ford and his fans thought all they had to do was turn up and it was a formality. :D I know you're only on a wind up but your post did give me a good laugh. Humility in defeat? Grace in victory? Celebrations? :icon_smile_clown:

Don't know where you've got that from Steve as once the play offs start it's anyone's game & no Swindon fan will be over confident against any of them.

Is this the Steve Shovlar that has mocked all and sundry getting offended?

Don't worry Steve, if it all goes wrong in the play offs, I have booked myself a ticket to Rome...😎

Can you recommend anywhere to stay?

Not sure if reserves can only be used from non qualifying teams for both semis and final, but these two could be an option but when Poole were at Swindon only Lahti scored well.

The way things are going tonight I would imagine Poole will be in the play offs, so do we pick them or BV?

Why wouldn't Rosco pick Wolves Orlov? ;):D

Have a good laugh Steve, it's really not that important..

However, there really is only one club with arrogant 'win at all cost' supporters and we all know who they are don't we..

We have been on a good run lately, much to the chagrin of some down in Dorset, but the PO's are anyone's to win.

I just want to watch some competitive and exciting racing, sadly that is getting harder to find these days..

As for your last sentence, please look closer to home, I thought you were more intelligent than that :t:

Why should the start time be delayed due to the late arrival of a rider?

Is it covered by the rules?

Are you having a laugh, I've been to numerous matches where the starts been delayed for late arrival of the away riders, it's called sportsmanship and not short changing the fans, for the sake of a short delay.

Good god speedway meetings are painful to watch these days. That's even before we discuss the quality of the racing. 15 heats but about 25 starts. Two minutes between all those, plus pauses for rides on the trot, track grades and the ref to clip their toenails.

Some can't be helped but the whole jumping the start saga has been a complete joke this season. Got to do something to discourage it and speed the process up between starts if it does happen.

I very much doubt short changing the fans comes into the thinking of many promoters . :D
