StevePark
Slightly off topic but d Glasgow seriously charge £17.50 for people between 16-OAPs? Yes they do i'm afraid , but for that you get to enjoy the Glasgow experience . The awesomeness of the Tigers and the plush 21st century stadium with it's impressive facilities . Don't forget the extra £1 to sit in the stand...

MD
Decent meeting to watch, had Lambert been there it would have been much tighter. Garrity wasnt up to much though his EF in ht13 spared Summers blushes who was as slow as a week in jail. Stuart Robson was superb in the middle order and Bowtell looks a decent prospect. The farce of ht8 confirms why Willie Dishington should not be in charge of a speedway meeting. Pickering fell in a first bend incident, the ref never noticed, Pickering started to clear the track as the others came back round, the riders then stopped without any red lights coming on and then the silly prick in the box woke up. Utterly shambolic. That exclusion for Pickering put us under a bit of pressure with the resulting 1-5though we steadily gained ground in the later heats. Much better from Perry tonight, he just has to do it more often
diamond@heart
Shocking return from Ludvig tonight. We can't keep carrying him away from home!! Well done to Alfie, get his signature on a contract for 18!!
Tapeworm
The farce of ht8 confirms why Willie Dishington should not be in charge of a speedway meeting. Pickering fell in a first bend incident, the ref never noticed, Pickering started to clear the track as the others came back round, the riders then stopped without any red lights coming on and then the silly prick in the box woke up. Utterly shambolic. The riders stopped because the marshal on bend 4, who had seen Pickering and his bike still down on bend 1, held out his red flag even though the ref hadn't yet put on the red lights. Then, by the time the 3 riders stopped on the back straight, Michael Max was shouting and waving at them that the race hadn't been stopped and they should continue racing. What authority do the flag marshals have to countermand the ref's actions (or inactions !) even if sensible on safety grounds ? The other farce of the night was the driver in 'Jungle Balls' racing round the inside of the track at top speed. They could have given Phil "The Power" Taylor a shot and even he wouldn't have hit the bucket ! What chance did the kids have ?

That is the overriding factor safety, in all my years of attending I have never seen a farce that was heat 8 Dishington should not be left alone in any referees box and the flag marshall should be commended in have the sense to see what could have happened, but the ref had a shocker and that is being nice about it. The same thing happened with James Sarjeant (if I remember correctly) last year or the year before. I think it may even have been the same ref. Terrible decision. He has presided over many a shocker but last night was by far the worst. This is the same guy who has forgotten to put the two minutes on after a false start one time, who will issue rider warnings for jumping but doesnt exclude when they do it in their next heat. He should have excluded Jack Smith in his second heat when the 2 mins had expired he realised he had damaged spokes and went across to gate 4 to ask Aaron. Hopefully English George having seen it will take it further. On one of the Tigerbite interviews someone was complaining that referees dont get any follow up training once they qualify so never establish best practice and so they are wildy inconsistent. This must be the most extreme case though. Dishington is inconsistent and totally incompetent.
Paulco
It was pretty embarrassing , the riders hadn't a clue whether to stop or carry on racing . But apart from that it was an enjoyable enough meeting , not much in the way of passing , but good close racing in many of the heats . Think we all breathed a sigh of relief when we saw Nike get back up after his heat 14 crash . Nobody's fault though , don't know if that was a different bike Lindgren was on for that heat , but he looked a different rider than had been out previously , though when the bike went entering bend 1 poor Nike had no where to go but into the fence . Felt for Pickering , on trial from our feeder club and he was worth more than what he scored . Our Worrall was superb , as was Newcastle's . Lawson was his usual , brilliant in his four programmed rides before , not for the first time , messing up heat 15 . Summers though is becoming a worry , he looked slow last night . The other farce of the night was the driver in 'Jungle Balls' racing round the inside of the track at top speed. They could have given Phil "The Power" Taylor a shot and even he wouldn't have hit the bucket ! What chance did the kids have ? And the other farce was at half 6 when me and my mate were stood on the upper tier of the back straight . One of the over zealous park rangers came up and told us " you cant stand here " . Shocked we replied " excuse me , we stand here every week along with a hundred or so other people " . But no she was steadfast in her jumped up authority , in her book the whole upper tier was off limits . Anyway , thankfully , one of the directors was on his way to the pits and Mrs Jobsworth was told to get a grip and behave herself . So we were all allowed to take our usual places and enjoy the speedway . Honestly , speedway stewards are another curse on the sport .

SharpenRake
As paulco says aaron looked slow. Can't help thinking he's suffering from lack of meetings. Fewer meetings less earnings and it becomes a vicious circle. Hopefully with more meetings over the next few weeks he can get his engines sorted as we reach the crucial part of the season
