Steve Shovlar
Correct, then we will know how much of a lead we have for the second leg. Well Doyle choked big time this evening in the playoffs. 7 from 5 rides and no wins. Didn't even get picked for the last two races. Bring that form to Wimborne Road please and Pirates could have a healthy lead to take to Blunsdon.
LisaColette
Just guessing. Surely we would go at home 2nd.Swindon have chosen to do first leg at home first in SF in the past. Good idea in some respects imo, never have to play catch up as should start off with a lead.
Starman2006
Will try paying him with monopoly money and see if he notices Oh i'l notice believe me. Trees
Since the history of the playoffs, has a team qualified who has lost 5 on the bounce at home, one with a scoreline of 30-60? Not that I can recall. 5 losses at home usually means bottom of the league. But the resilience of this Poole team has suprised everyone, and the reason they go into the playoffs as the complete underdogs, and the team neutrals will be supporting en masse. Poole Pirates. 'The Peoples Team". You can almost hear the roar, "Come on Pirates", from hundreds of thousands of lounges, parlours, sitting rooms and bars right now. Change your hearing aids Steve lol
bellevueace
That Poole lost five on the bounce including a 30-60 highlights the weakness of the league nowadays rather than any resilience.

We got quite a lot of the bonus points. That's what has got us to the play offs.
Trackrat
Wow, Poole finish 4th in a 8 team poor league & it's like some major achievement. Edited September 4, 2017 by Trackrat
A ORLOV
We did quite good away from home. We got quite a lot of the bonus points. That's what has got us to the play offs. But there are no bonus points in the play offs

waiheke1
That's assuming Wolves pick the home leg 2nd.. they usually don't. Do we know when the choices are made? Wolves will of course pick home leg first, as of course their rivals are unlikely to survive the trip to the horror track with a full complement of fit riders...
LisaColette
But there are no bonus points in the play offsNo, just winning on aggregate...
foreverblue
Rosco has said that he hopes Bellego's issues with his engines will be sorted by the time the play offs arrive and they have a couple of meetings to sort it out tonight and the K.O.cup against Belle Vue so does this mean he hasn't considered Sept 11th as a possible 1st leg date, is it safe to assume he is only thinking of the 18th as a possible 1st leg date? Wolves will of course pick home leg first, as of course their rivals are unlikely to survive the trip to the horror track with a full complement of fit riders... I'm surprised you haven't had at least one like for that comment!
Gavan
Wow, Poole finish 4th in a 8 team poor league & it's like some major achievement. Poole were hot favorites for the league at the start of the season. The fact they pretty much imploded and couldnt get the best out of riders means they held on to 4th by the good fortune of Kings Lynn self destructing. To come 4th when your the hot favorites is no acheivement at all and im confused why the Poole fans see at is as some sort of success. Anyways everyone starts level again and will be interesting to see which one of Swindon, Wolves or Belle Vue lift the title. Personally i would like to see Swindon win the title as they have topped the league. Think it will be a Swindon v Belle Vue final, but i would love to see a shootout between the leagues best 2 managers in Rosco and Adams

Don't think Kings Lynn were ever going to make top 4. Poole have struggled mainly due to KK but now with the team all pulling together we have made top 4 which I thought was pretty unlikely a few weeks ago mainly due to the return of Brady Kurtz and Lahti finding form, the worry is Starke and Jack Holder but you never know with a bit of luck it's possible. The main reason Swindon are where they are is because they replaced a rider who has generally struggled in the lower league and replaced him with a top rider along with Bellego who has exceeded most people's expectations. And you say you are not anti - Poole lol Can you please tell me Lisa what i posted that was anti Poole. Ive included the post for you to look back over but just in case the bullet points are: Poole were hot favorites They had under performing riders like KK and Newman who have left and done well elsewhere. To come 4th when you were favorites isnt success. If Kings Lynn had have beaten Poole that night they would have gone 4th. As ive said it all starts level again Poole are the outsiders of the 4 teams Rosco and Adams in my opinion are better managers than Middlo You are confusing anti Poole stuff with facts. The only thing that could be classed in my post as anti Poole is the opinion on team managers. Everything i put in the post is factual......i get that you are disappointed with your season Edited September 4, 2017 by Gavan

You were never in any danger at all of relegation , that was never going to happen. You then met the right teams at the right times. Wolves at home when they missing Masters and Riss Belle Vue at home when they missing Fricke and Bjerre with a sick engine You then had easy meetings at home to Leicester and Lynn Away from home you got beat easily at Rye and then like the rest of the league won at Kings Lynn. Then at Somerset you met them when they were missing Heeps and a potent reserve in Allen and had an unfit Hougaard. But you can only beat whats in front of you and Poole had that bit of luck at the right time, coupled with the Kings Lynn walkout that gave Poole those 4 points which proved crucial
