Kings Lynn 2018..

Who in their right mind would want to sign THJ? A complete dud and definitely on the downward slope of his career/talent

Surely you can see the appeal of signing him on a sub five point average and starting him at number seven? If he was over five and had to start in the main team I'd agree with you but as the lowest average rider he must be worth consideration.

Shame Porsing isn't coming back. Certainly had the potential, just never seemed to quite crack it. What would you put it down to DWP ?

A very good question. He rides well in Europe, but finds the UK tracks not to his liking. Small tight, never the same one day to the next. One track he did like but only rode it once was Belle Vue and only time he rode it, was a night of rain and slop sadly. Last season Buster was keen for him to persevere with GTR - he just couldn’t find set up with it. The power was there but getting it into the track was like banging your head against a wall. And with that it knocked his confidence. Unfortunately the GM bike was stolen and with what Lynn paid him, plus the costs to him to fly back and forth whether a rain off or not. He just couldn’t afford £8000 to replace it and he wasn’t going to give up Poland and Sweden and bring one of those 4 bikes to Uk. We have looked at all options for 2018. I can’t go into exact figures but with the costs to do UK - when you look at costs v earnings in Europe. It’s a no brainer not to do Uk. 1x less van, 2x less bikes, 1x less mechanic, 50+ flights less etc etc. Earnings so much more in PL, SE and DK.

I think that he will really come on this year not doing UK. He’s done his UK apprenticeship and learnt a lot and he’s very pleased he’s done it. As with other riders I’ve seen who do UK then go back to Europe only and suddenly they seem to make their mark. Milik, Lebedev, Magic are a few examples. Nicklas as such style on a bike when he’s confident and with Greg Hancock mentoring him this season at Stal Rzeszow , I can see him making a few headlines. I hope so as he’s such a great lad.

Sounds very much like Porsing is done with the UK. Sad that he didn't adapt to any track ( bar one). A few years back I recall him blasting around Saddlebow to a Max ( cant remember if it was 12 or 15 pointer). Really thought on the back of that he was really going somewhere. Sad to him slip away in this Country at Lynn and Peterborough. Though I would suggest those 2 tracks are as close to Polish tracks as you will find in this Country.

 

Wish the boy well and hope he makes a decent living for himself in Poland, Denmark and Sweden.

Disappointed the way the future has unfolded. Like others have said, I also thought he was like a breath of fresh air. He had this air of recklessness that I liked. But that was along time ago. All too often he flattered to deceive and inevitably he performed poorly. When we needed him to score more, all we got was excuses. No, unfortunately, he will not be missed. Each time I saw him riding around in that wonderful sponsored sporty Mercedes, I thought, how lucky he was, to live an exciting existence by apply such little effort. Its a good job he doesn't have to work for a living. He may be a lovely lad, but he has a lot to learn...

To be given the nickname "Hollywood" before he's done anything in the sport says a lot about his character.

The way he's turned out has been very disappointing.

It's definitely not a great imagine having Mr Average driving around in a Merc then telling people he can't afford a new bike.

No logic, totally lacks professionalism.

Perhaps he will get found out in both SWE/POL next season & DK.

 

Think KL def better off without the guy.

 

After last season what Chapman does not need is posers or passengers.

 

I for one, even not being a KL supporter really want to see them do a lot better in 2018 and have a much better team all pulling together in the right direction. Buster needs stability in 2018 after the horrors of 2017.

 

Guys in sport sponsored Mercs doing a 4 plus point av can stay away thanks. Jeez the guy had 5 years riding for KL and as a so called exciting young Dane, if he cldnt work it out now then imo he never will.

 

Its happened with quite a lot of these young Danes. They seem to be put on bikes as soon as they are out of diapers, meet a kind of high level very young but still in their early/mid 20's they suddenly seem to taper off and fade somewhat. You could say that's the case with Bech - Jepsen Jensen - Klindt - Porsing and no doubt others who showed such early dash and promise.

Well I’ve got a different take on Nick - rather than run him down I’m going to say thanks for your time with the club one thing you can’t fault was Nicks commitment to the Stars more than can be said about some who rode for the club last season some one in perticular seemed to cry off at every opportunity when something seemed better elsewhere - locally based as well I thought Nick and David Wotton made a good partnership , I guess they would say things haven’t gone to plan in the UK but I thank Nick and wish Nick well in the future .

I thank Niklas for his efforts but after some encouraging displays in 2013 when he first came in its fair to say that he has subsequently been a pretty big disappointment and his average says it all really. Good luck to him for the future though.
