Kings Lynn 2018..

Recommended Posts

The point of Auty Steve finishing in the bottom two teams in both league's is a pretty low blow to be honest surely you look at merit.? Kyle last year was decent progressed but his PL average is still not yet as high as Auty's highest. PL average. Also in British Final's ect) Kyle rarely threatens where Auty is competetive mixes it even this year Auty ride's in the BLRC meeting was decent exciting he was unlucky not to reach semi's everyone to there own but Howarth away from Wolves is a risky prop on his average only my opinion though.

Need to do you homework my friend.

Premiership

Kyle Howarth excluding bonus point last averaged

Home; 6.74

Away; 6.72

Overall; 6.73

I think that shows that he is as good away from Monmore Green than he is at it.

Josh Auty excluding bonus point last averaged

Leicester

Home; 5.00

Away; 3.00

Overall; 4.00

Kings Lynn

Home 5.23

Away; 4.00

Overall; 4.76

Championship

Kyle Howarth excluding bonus point last averaged

Home; 8.95

Away; 8.15

Overall; 8.54

Kyle away average only bettered by (Nick Morris, Ricky Wells, Steve Worrall, Robert Lambert, Josh Grajczonek and Craig Cook)

Josh Auty excluding bonus point last averaged

Home; 7 .23
Away; 5.91
Overall; 6.90.
Josh has a long way to go to catch Kyle.

Of course it's only about opinion! I'm certainly not going to fall out with you because we see things different.

It's been quite a few seasons since Auty was anything like a force in the 2nd tier and appears on the decline. He certainly hasn't had much look in his formative years in the top flight and injuries may have halted his progress. However that's similar to Kyle who was messed about by Poole early on and seemed to be in and out of favour in the top flight but the draft system has certainly seen him take advantage of that.

Kyle is fine away, way better than Auty as it happens!

I'm not really interested what riders do individually it's what they do for their teams which is more important and I'd rather have a rider scoring consistently for his teams than doing well in the one competition.

I guess I'm more than happy for Kyle to be back next year and I'm sure you will be happy if you sign Auty as well!

Has anybody heard any news of the Supporters meeting this year, and when it is likely to be ?? I appreciate the AGM is this week but one assumes that is only to dot the I's and cross the T's. Most decisions will have been sorted before now.. As per normal the supporters are again being kept in the dark about everything that is relevant.

You would've thought a sport in need of all the publicity it could get, would be drip feeding snip-bits of information on a regular basis. Like 'More news next week' just to keep the anticipation and connection with the fans.. I had hoped it would change, but it appears the promoters attitude of them and us is still very much in evidence.... and that's a shame....

Josh on his day is awesome! As we see at lynn this season. And I loved the way he spoke. Took responsibility and was very much thinking as a team man in his interviews.

Very much a confidence rider. When he's good he's awesome. When he's not he struggles. But he never gives up. Even when he's beaten you often look to the people around you and say "he gave that a good go"

Yes Steve i respect your view and i hope Kyle keeps on improving. I think Doyle has changed alot in speedway because he shows at whatever level you are at with luck and hard work you can improve even if it is only half a point or a point on your average.

It's finding the MMM and sticking with it. Magical Motivation Moment rather than "yeah, this will do". It's very like the motivation or focus needed for a successful diet. You have to keep at it.

Sometimes it's just about belief and motivation.

I remember seeing Woffy pre season 2013 and you could tell and see that it was going to be his year.Doyle and Woffy are very much the type of riders that prove if you work hard enough there is the likelihood you will achieve.

Something definitely changed with Kyle this season, hopefully that isn't his peak.

I think looking at their current averages Id pick Auty everyday, cant see the improvement in Howarth while I reckon Auty is good for a 1pt average increase

Auty has been dropping while Kyle has been adding to his average.

I suppose that makes him a risk but if it was for a place in the main team I'd go with Kyle every time. Auty has barely been out the reserve berth!

Plus we are comparing a main team rider/average with a reserve/rider average.

Not even a fair consideration.

Anyone that has over 6 points to play with would be mad to use Auty on his much lower average!!

Steve that is what i hate about speedway now it is a numbers game Kyle improves but he could be punished because others might be better value Bellego is another name that comes to mind.Going back to Auty he is capable of getting back over six points his terrible gating is his achilles heel Kings lynn or Belle Vue the two tracks i think that his figures would improve.

It's been that way for a while tho but yea it can be a frustrating process seeing who fits into the points limit.

Yep not entirely displeased with that. Hopefully he'll come back in the future a more rounded competitor. One of those frustrating riders who could win a race against good opposition by quarter of a lap and then come last in his next heat against a poor line up.
