B.V 72
I agree with what is being said about tracks we all go to speedway to watch great racing. The first thing on the agenda at the AGM should be for all clubs to invest in track improvements.Make all tracks the best they can be for the modern bikes be it change shape if needed(for the tracks with room) smooth out others and use the best shale money can buy etc. If clubs can improve the racing to a level we once had the more chance the sport has of keeping its supporters and getting lost supporters back and keeping new fans that take a look if the racing is good they will all come back for more. So improve the tracks(racing) improve the meeting presentation and a regular team line up all with a little work and thought can be done and that would be go a long way imo towards keeping most of the fans happy and coming back for more. Basically then how Polish Speedway present, promote and run Speedway on well prepared tracks that produce more often than not first class racing! Just common sense really give the fans a quality product and they will turn up to watch serve up rubbish and they won't.
mrss
I agree that tracks need to change and the racing needs to improve. But if a team is losing people don't go to support it. People will always support a winning team. So even if the racing is good fans don't bother if there team is bottom of the league.

That's something that cannot be changed there is always a top team and a bottom team.Every promoter has the same points limit to work with its up to them who they pick to be in their team.Get it wrong one year get a chance to change things the next year. But getting the track/racing right the smooth flowing presentation right with a settled team can be done every year to help improve your support. waytogo28
I make no apologies to posting this here as well as in the AGM thread. To his credit Buster Chapman has built up Saddlebow Rd - now the AFA, into an excellent little stadium and had much success over the years as a Promoter. Sadly we now have the stadium but Buster has lost the hearts and mind of many KL fans. He pledges in the SS this week to "never let things slip again" at the club. He just needs to look long and hard at the nature of the "little bit" that he admits to letting things slip. There is a massive job to be done ASAP to win back those disillusioned supporters.

Even if a team is not winning many of its meetings if they can push the opposition so that meetings are close, better still last heat deciders, the fans will turn up to watch exciting meetings. Trees
In Poland the people of the towns where their speedway is flock to support their team. They go to the meetings with one thing in mind, to support their team. They idolise their team. The drum and chant through the whole meeting whether the racing is good or bad, they support their team. It's all about pride with the Poles, pride in their club, their town, their country, their team. Football teams get this from supporters here, speedway doesn't in King's Lynn. Why?

Why? one reason there are so many other things to spend our hard earned money on here and they are better value for money - myself and my other half are now members of Nottinghamshire country cricket club for £206 not each thats for us both we get a reduced cost membership because we live 35 miles from Trent Bridge we can attend all county championship all 50 overs games all T20 matches they are all included in the membership we are treated with respect by the club we are valued by the club we are looked after by the club basically they cant do enough for you - now we have KL speedway they basically dont give a toss about season ticket holder and why buy one no incentive what so ever in fact in 2017 you paid more than had you paid on the day - the club treat die hard fans for granted give them no respect to fans . Cricket is not everyone cup of tea granted but its all about value for money and not being treated as a fool .

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Too right GB We certainly woke a few up when we made ourselves heard in a big way at the begining of last season We were fed up of the flat dull atmosphere and decided to do something about it Since then it has spread round the stadium and has helped reconnect the fans with the riders Foxhall has been a better place for it IMO Hopefully we may be making a trip to the AFA to wake you lot up next season...
