Swindon - Somerset 24/8/17

Swindon riding against another joke of a patched up line-up. WHAT A SURPRISE!

Only reason why Swindon are top tbh. Will defo come unstuck in the play-offs against a full 1-7.

I'm sure I recognise you from somewhere.

I know. It's pathetic. You should see the shocking Poole team we've had to thrash three times this year.

We all know tonight will be down on numbers & I imagine the club does as well. I am giving it a miss as we've the double header on Monday against the same side. Will save my cash for that.

The planning of fixtures for all clubs has been pi$$ poor this year,.

Swindon fans on facebook/twitter were very quick to post pictures of the excellent crowd numbers on Monday as a result of their great £5 promotion.

I wonder if they will be just as quick to post pictures of tonight's crowd?

Just goes to show what reducing the prices does.

3000 is a great number.

What do Swindon normally get?

900 tops.

Nope - average would be approx. 1200-1400 pushing 1800-2000 on a good day.

Nah not sure i believe that..

Average is around 1500, have crowds varying from 1000 to 2500, and 3000 the other night.

One of the sponsors was telling me there are around 400 season ticket holders, guests, sponsors, volunteers, etc., that aren't included in the figures.

Swindon The Man U of Speedway, if they get that new stadium will be massive crowds, battling to get in.

So for the sake of argument, call it 1400.

Take into consideration, concessions, kids, season tickets etc,...surely there is an argument to drop prices to get more people through the gates on a regular basis? Cash on the door.

3000 at £5 average, plus your programmes, food and drink, parking etc...also generates a better atmosphere.

Makes sense to me.
