New Science
It will be interesting to see how BT treat this meeting tonight. I suspect that they will try to pull fans into the drama of a season defying promotion / relegation decider although we all know this meaning is a complete farce. I suppose Pearson will tow the party line although some honesty wouldn't go a miss explaining that even if Sheffield win they may still not get promoted if they don't fancy it which would mean Leicester would stay up if they chose to even if they lost and lastly Lakeside will probably move up to the top division even though they are currently in the 3rd tier and not involved in any promotion / relegation tie, clear as mud but will probably be bypassed by BT and Pearson to save the sport looking a farce. No matter what problems exist in British speedway BT sport does not seem a vehicle to mention them
ray c
Could be a good meeting two evenly matched teams Sheffield to win by ten Edited October 9, 2017 by ray c
SteveLyric2
OK guys and gals - how many times will Woffy get a mention on BT Sports tonight?!
Beowulf
Was there? That one must have completely whizzed past me without me even noticing! Wasn't that the year of the 39.95 points limit and the exciting new era in speedway? Swindon in 93 is the only time I can recall a team getting relegated. Thankfully Jason Crump was available so it turned out ok. I went to the away leg, must have been really worried !

salty
OK guys and gals - how many times will Woffy get a mention on BT Sports tonight?! I'm going for less than "just what the doctor ordered". He must have used that one in practically every heat on Saturday nght.
mdmc82
Wont be worth having a return leg. This is so one sided its boring. Crazy when you see heats with what would be 4 Leicester riders Big gap between the top and 2nd division but expect it when built to a different team limit Edited October 9, 2017 by mdmc82

foreverblue
Thought this would be close but really Sheffield haven't turned up, Nicholls has been as bad as Harris was last week.

Hawk127
This is dire. Let us hope that those who are Ipswich riders can repeat the performance later this week in the KO cup. Probably not but one can only live in hope.
Perton Wolf
Jesus this isn't pretty viewing. Get a few injuries and you're completely stuffed, the current R/R and Guest system just doesn't get close to making up the scoring power you miss - especially at home. Josh G and Howarth would at least make things competitive.

stevebrum
No surprise. .. A top flight team is always going to be way more superior than a 2nd tier one. And we are the weakest top flight it's ever been! Borefest so far.
