Swindon Vs Kings Lynn 21 August 2017

What is it with BT Sport's love affair with Doyle? Nearly every interview seemed to be with him.

Good and bad luck from both teams, but stars were very unlucky not to come away with a point.

Why were they unlucky ..swindon had loads of bad luck and never put Doyle in 15 and still won

Biggest crowd at The Abbey for years around 3000, wasn't great weather, car park closed full, great atmosphere, Lynn did well to stop Swindon hitting 50.

Doyley different class, saying afterwards a couple of the opposition rode with "all gas no brains".

Bellego won rider of night.

Robins reserves outscored, BWD more engine problems.

I am a massive fan of Doyle but he should be careful what he says ie) his injury record is there for a reason. Also he has not always been at the level he is at now and his team riding skills at times are non-existent.

Not the best of meeting's great crowd the track had took alot of rain but had the odd decent race but these days at the Abbey racing does get very strung out.Kings Lynn really impressed me dug in were totally commited and if Lambert had got a few extra points they could of bagged a point they deserved that,Jorgensen again impressed attacks the track certainly around the hairy bend 2 and really is progressing nicely Auty also put his life on the line.He nearly pulled off a great move around bends 1/2 but was shafted bigtime maybe a retaliation? to the Jonasson/Morris incident that was a tough incident to.

We will see !! Should maked decent tele.... I don't expect to win, but it won't be the walkover some predict....either....

As predicted, this was never going to be the massacre many Swindon fans forecasted. The spirit of the club was always going to stop that happening. The biggest difference between the two clubs tonight was the No1's. Doyle, majestic as ever, never looked like losing, whereas Lambert is so hit and miss. He needs to make that step up in consistency and be a reliable captain. 15pts last week was brilliant, but 5 points tonight was a massive let down. When you consider he was one of our lowest scores tonight, you realise we could easily have made this even closer.

This new Lynn side is enthusiastic and exciting. but they all need to perform and score points, if we are to be competitive. This format dictates that matches are decided by winning the big heats. If our big riders, cant win those big heats, all the effort shown in the others is wasted.

One final thought: Had we swapped No1's tonight we would have won with ease...........

(Joke time): Buster, showed tonight he is probably the worse Team Manager in the league. He missed most of the decisions he should have made. I have always thought, the only race when a rider should go off 15mtr is a reserve race. The only reason I could think of missing these decisions were that Buster didn't want to mess his program up....:rofl:

Doyle acted appallingly last night. Watching it back I couldn't believe he could act in such a way when he knew the cameras were on him. THJ was attempting to make a pass for his team on a very rough track when he lost control.

For Doyle to do thd "loony sign" was both disrespectful to the rider and also arrogant. Does he expect opposition not to try?

Doyle lost a lot of respect last night. And the two Swindon riders fist pumping each other in the pits after the result was awarded and THJ still laying on the track was also in poor taste.

Kings Lynn should have got s point. Very poor tactics by the manager, who seemed more busy gassing to the old boy next to him than paying attention.

Big crowd, pretty rubbish meeting with far too many stoppages.

over the tannoy it was announced heat 4 is protected regarding switching reserves, so 15m punishment was all that could happen.

Very strange decision to exclude Frenchy in heat 3, that was the easiest all 4 back I have ever seen.

Not the best meeting in the world, but if you look at most tracks.. you get on the fastest line, you will not be passed.

#13 and counting :D

Doyle was right......THJ is a lunatic and has a reputation to support my opinion! After the injuries Doyle has suffered, I'm not surprised he vented his feelings!

The match from a neutral view was absolute garbage.....thank heavens that I recorded it so I could fast forward the endless amount or re-runs....how on earth Pearson could say that was a belting meeting is beyond my imagination.

Bellego was unfairly excluded in his first heat....crap refereeing once again!

Great attendance and a cracking looking Blonde shown going through the turnstiles when the recording started  highlight of this 'dull' affair!

Yawn yawn!!

With a big hitter like Bratch or Noddy hitting double Lynn could have pulled off another win at Blunsdon.

One of the best sides seen this season but unfortunately unlikely now to get into the play-offs.

Refs recalling too many starts, and can do without Jase doing wheelies and slowing down.

Good to hear the Blunsdon Roar, 13 in a row!

GO ROBINS!!!

Not the greatest meeting racing wise but still enjoyable all the same

what a fantastic crowd to,really pleasing to see and i think the BT coverage is really very good, the lady who presents it is well genned up on whats going on and does a fab job

close score, good crowd and slick presentation---yet folk still talk speedway down--cheer the feck up!!

as for Doyle indicating THJ is loopy----that didnt sit well at all on camera,...at least THJ was trying to make a pass, which i think is possibly more that Doyles sacked buddys would have done

Well done Swindon on another fine win

Another big 3 points as the Robins continue their march on to top spot in the qualifying competition for the end of season cup.

Excellent crowd and clearly there is a price at which people will come to watch speedway. Well done to KL on their efforts, given their recent personnel changes and tbh, probably give Swindon a timely reminder that the season is only just beginning for them. 'Much bigger clubs' have been worried by the Robins 1-7 and have ridden and rolled over accordingly.

Track nice and smooth and I wouldn't be surprised to see this track pushing for the 'best track' award in the EL. I think it's between us and Poole to see who gets the nod. I suspect both Chris and Troy were both licking their lips in anticipation to be honest at the billiard green smoothness of The Abbey and wishing they could have been there.

Finally, a couple of observations. Young Jorgensen, in my book, looks tailor made for the 'David Bellego Award' for Swindon 2018 and can someone lend Jason Doyle the book 'The art of captaincy and team riding' by Sir Leigh Adams. He may find this a useful addition to his collection.
