Workington V Ipswich 19/8/17

Recommended Posts

We will need to trap a bit better to stand a chance.

The Worky boys looked sharper on Thursday and if that happens again I think they will have too much pace for us to get even a point.

...With all due respect Fueltaps they weren't quicker - they were just jumping the starts, once the reff gave them a few warnings it was alot more even !

Going from Baldys messages that seems to have been our best all round performance of the season.

Ā

Well chuffed 👍👏

Great to see that Connor won heat 14, that lad deserves a lot of credit for knuckling down and improving week on week.

He does indeed. After an understandably slow start to the season he's been on an upward curve for a while now. Great to see.

Ā

Greaves too has been a breath of fresh air and has admirably covered the huge blow of losing Hume early doors.

Ā

We still have a problem area in the team which is like a big black cloud hanging over our chances of silverware but the rest are doing us proud.

Ā

Gotta say such a shame to see Sarg struggling so badly and I'm surprised too. He was very good for us last season I thought in a difficult number 2 position. Scored a shed load of bonus points for us and was an excellent partner for King.

Ā

Hard to fathom why he's struggled so badly.

well done to the witches tonight . better team on the night .

Ā

we have a major problem in the team at the moment .with the management unwilling to change riding order around .

Ā

i hope sarj lowers his average enough for ips to take take him on next year ! pity you cant take him NOW .

Ā

best i have seen him ride, but still did not impress in his interview with Louis tonight .

Ā

Ā

but on abrighter side , no jump starts from sarj tonight . the only jump start was with kink in ht 1 . unless the other 3 riders had fallen asleep at the gate .

What a great result, i expected a win but not by 12. R/R for Sedgy is helping us.

Ā

If we go on to win the whole thing then surely its been due to Heeps and the 2 reserves in my opinion.

Ā

Cam has been very consistent as that third heat leader and the form of Greaves and Mountain has covered us missing Hume

Good win for Ipswich against a struggling Comets team, we don't expect to get any points from reserve, Matt Williamson is finding it hard at No 4, probably losing confidence and has no chance of going back to reserve where he was scoring freely. Jorgenson has been disappointing though he has looked great in some races. It is good to see Mason scoring more points after all his knockers. Shuttleworth walked out, can't be replaced, hopefully none of the others will get injured. Do they not think what the consequences might be when they change rules. The BSPA should stick to board games.
