Edinburgh V Ipswich Ch 18/8/17 @ 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

After a good win last week we'll be looking to continue that trend this week against a very good Ipswich side round Armadale. No sam masters for the home side with chris Harris taking his place. On a positive note however mark Riss will thankfully be taking his place again in the side after being sidelined with injury.

Home win by 4.

Edinburgh

1. Chris Harris (G)

2. Mark Riss

3. Ricky Wells

4. Max Clegg

5. Erik Riss

6. Josh Pickering

7. Mitchell Davey

Ipswich

1. Danny King

2. Kyle Newman

3. Cameron Heeps

4. Justin Sedgmen

5. Rory Schlein

6. Nathan Greaves

7. Connor Mountain

Trump card at no 4 for the Witches

You would think , but the reality is that ex-Monarchs never score as much as you would hope when they return to Armadale .

Remind me what team does Chris Harris ride for? The league select or is he setting a new standard by being a squad member for every team in the leagueGood luck to him but come on, this is taking the sport to a new low. Anyway I hope all, riders have a safe and good contest. Hopefully Ipswich can get a point.

Has this been cancelled due to lack of interest?

There is plenty of interest - just not on the BSF.

And no point in feeding any more anti-Sedgy sentiment.

The guy has been smashed up a few times this season and is having to see a specialist about his shoulder next week and has been treated by some clubs in Buster Chapman fashion but some folk still want to rip him apart.

Bear in mind he's still ahead of Kyle Newman in the averages and nor far behind Cam Heeps so can't be doing that badly, despite the above problems.

Jeez we've seen Theo Pijper come in as an injury replacement for Mark Riss and drop two and a half points of his average and no Monarchs supporter says a bad word about him.

Shame he wasn't at your club to start off with then this season . As we wouldn't right now be stuck with a wet blanket masquerading as a speedway rider.

Talking rubbish as usual.

The more telling stat is that Cam started the season at 5.07 as is now up to 6.78 and rising.

Sedgeman came into the side at 7.60 and is now down to 6,46 and dropping.

The Newman comparison is an even better one. Allowing for Sedgeman's injuries, Newman has had comparable, if not worse, during this season and yet to his credit has maintained his average (started 6.31 and is currently 6.29.
