Normski
Glasgow just announced they are needing volunteers to help put covers down.
waytogo28
It seems disrespectful to fans that no explanation has been given by anyone. It was long, long ago that the BSPA had any respect for fans or gave any consideration to their opinions or concerns.
Fromafar
With the look of the forecast they will have to ride under the covers.

StevePark
NOW Saturday 14th October with a 7pm start.
Star Lady
NOW Saturday 14th October with a 7pm start. Â would it not make more sense to have a late afternoon start 3 or 4 o'clock to allow for track work if necessary. 7pm gives very little leeway.
george.m
So some Edinburgh fans and one connected with the club posting on Facebook and Twitter their disapproval that the new date clashes with their end of season dinner dance. One suggesting it's a deliberate decision. Â Perfectly illustrates what is wrong with the sport nowadays. Parochial, self indulgent attitudes. topsoil
Got it in one. I can understand fans are frustrated at having to miss one or the other, but speedway as a whole has suffered too long from people in positions of power looking after their own interests rather than the sport as a whole. As regards the re-arranged date, I can imagine it would be a nightmare trying to find a date to suit all the riders / clubs, without even having to take into consideration end of season parties, family gatherings, weddings etc.
screm
So the Edinburgh riders will have to go to their end of season do as it was pre-arranged and in the diary first.

spanner47
Can Workington claim that they won't pay any fine if they don't fulfill their fixtures? Another Saturday when they can't ride won't help their cause.

They shouldn't have their dinner/ dance during the racing season.

snapper
There is a clue in the title "End of Season Dance" hold it at the the end of the season not when it is still running
Lioness
Isn't Saturday Glasgows night? Shouldnt Edinburgh be running their dance on the Friday?
