Redcar V Glasgow Thursday

Recommended Posts

Honkin' again. Make no mistake about it, this team won't win any silverware. Found wanting far too often when push comes to shove! Reserves woeful again, Perry has been shameful this year especially away from home in what is without doubt a watered down league this season. Can't be too harsh on young Smith but he'd be hard pushed to be doing any worse.

Poor and another midmeeting collapse. Unfortunately the reserves are costing us big time and at a very important part of the season.

JS almost has protected status, he rarely gets pulled from his programmed heats. Whilst i understand that can boost his esteem, he is a season too early in our league IMO. I also think riding at BV can give him false confidence as its not exactly technically demanding holding the throttle open.

TP isnt cutting the mustard either. A few decent meetings in May doesnt mask what has been an average season. Mitch Davey on Saturday worked out pretty quickly what we've seen all season in that he cant/wont ride the inside line and is pretty one dimensional.

And sent them homewards to think again :)

Well done to the depleted Bears.

And there is a lot of thinking to be done.

Well done on the victory which would probably have been more emphatic had Wright been riding.

the soundbites are so predictable but ultimately we are an ok team but just not a good one.

The soundbites are winding up our rivals, time to reign them all in. They could be written by an SNP spin doctor such is the difference between rhetoric and reality right now.

Still can't believe Stuart gave Jack our weakest reserve 3 rides against Mitchel Davey (no offence Mitch) and Tom had only one. When your reserves are 'off-form' give the best of the 2 the easiest rides at least away from home. Not saying Tom would have definitely beaten Mitch but he did do so in the one race they met

lets look on the bright side there won't be a problem sorting out the play-off semis. for a while it looked like Sheffield and Ipswich would have to play each other. no danger of that now. Sheffield v Monarchs and Ipswich v Glasgow with Sheffield Ipswich final. can we play Edinburgh for third place ;)

Fantastic match, what are the Glasgow fans opinions on the performance of the gating tart after his performance here last week for Sheffield.the only win he got tonight was due to a mistake .that looked like the Lawson who underperformed when riding for us..

I would probably get into bother if I gave you my opinion on that touchy subject.

stewpot dickson making comments about glasgow giving points away at redcar tonight .

nikki,s fall and the lack of team riding .

its called speedway , get over it .

did he expect riders to be looking out for their team mate on the 2nd bend , while all they are interested in is themselves .

he is paying the price , for paying the prica . greed has now become the norm at glasgow .

they aint going to put the effort in if the can get more money from the promotion for not trying .

i can see glasgow having a clear out next year , so no more sailing yatch,s for the riders . lol.

great result for redcar and sleeping well tonight , unlike glasgow eh .

It isn't always that simple. The reserves on both sides were swapped about tonight. Glasgow did try and put Perry up against Davey, but Redcar countered it and put Busch in. Overall, Redcar management riders and supporters were up for this and revenge was sweet.

Unbelievable well thought out albeit inaccurate post. Particularly like the bit where you say you are sleeping well tonight posted at 5.10am 😴😵 Edited by SharpenRake

TBF Bewley aside you team has under performed compared to what most seem to think. When I said in Feb/March you had a bang average team with the exception of Bewley you all got on my back. Looking at the stats now you have a bang average team except Bewley. They're all basically maintained their averages, theres a tiny little bit of improvement in a few of them but in a 40 point league you'd expect a little bit of improvement.

Honestly not sure what Glasgow fans expected. The top 3 have all been around a long time now and are what they are. Tom Perry the same. Jack Smith was a 6.5 NL man last year so a lot was expected of him. Luna, fair enough some of you guys up there rate him. For a club that is throwing cash around Glasgow signed a very, IMO, uninspiring team that was always going to do well but not actually be great. It was a pretty safe team selection.
