Jack Holder And The (lack Of A) 9 Month Ban

SCB

Recommended Posts

I think people are getting hung up on the idea of the Panthers promotion getting paid for Torun to use young Jack Holders services on a Sunday - I personally don't think that happened.

I reckon the deal was that in 2018 Jack with Torun's permission will offer to ride for the Panthers so long as they change their home race days from a Sunday.

That would be extremely beneficial to the promotion - more so than a cash payment.

I do not agree with Jack Holders actions - I think when Torun came calling especially in light of his 17 point Torun debut - Jack could have just walked and got a 28 day ban so decided to speak to Ged about his predicament..

Ged has done what is best for Peterborough Speedway having been put in that situation.. Thus potentially having the services of one of the leagues best young riders for 2018 and possibly beyond that.

And what is the agreement for the away meetings at Newcastle, Scunthorpe & Glasgow (if status quo as per this year) are Torun giving their permission for him to ride in these or is it a Shelby Rutherford equivalent (no disrespect to Shelby, just he is the current example)

You have actually highlighted what is totally wrong with the whole situation "....jack with Torun's permission will offer to ride for the Panthers...." that really is so big of Torun and Jack, offering to ride!!!!

Let it go chaps, its good to see a promoter making compromise with our Polish friends that benefits all parties...

Except for the paying customers and the promotions hosting matches against a Panthers side unnecessarily missing one of their star riders.

Who cares about them, or principles eh? Just go for what's convenient then try brushing it under the carpet afterwards....

I understand and agree with your comments to a point . There is so much wrong with this situation , but maybe the Peterborough promotion hands are tied with the rules we are working with this season . Maybe they would be only too happy to tell Holder to sling his hook for putting Poland before his Peterborough commitments , but they are unable to sign a replacement now and are forced to put up with this situation best they can .

just as an after thought , i wonder if marrowbone told jack h he could go knowlingly that holder may get a long ban and put jh out for the season and marroebone then save money for peterborough and gets a wee bung to go with it .

maybe not so daft after all . but i doubt it .

ban the feckers ..

exactly this.

Ipswich and others will miss out as the likes of Baldy are simply p!$$ed off with one shambles after another and situayions like this.

I wont be attending next Thursday (have now booked a few days away instead) as I decided I would not attend any meeting Holder rides in if no action was taken.

Redcar will miss out as Baldy and I had originally intended to travel up together but with his current apathy neither of us will be there now.

Im sure Newcastle would have seen and Scunny will see some reductions in view of the weaker opposition.

At least Ged and Jack are happy

The gate last Sunday against Peterborough was actually a touch higher than normal.

A Newcastle fans says the above.

Berwick's best meeting of the season was the night before.

It seems that this agenda is being driven by a certain few.

What is the agenda?

A far as an entertaining meeting, Berwick vs Peterboro was our best meeting of the season for entertyainment, however , on a downside, the . attendance was very poor No agenda, purely a bit of fact, people who know me, know how critical I can be when it is not.

To bring about the downfall of the most successful and prestigious club in the Championship.

Success creates jealousy.

To say we had a good meeting against P/Boro is going to bring them down, you are in cloud cuckoo land pal.

Probably due in part to a good number of Panthers fans that were doing the 3 match tour

Yes, and what a great bunch of fans they are.
