jenga
The last time people wrote off the Panthers was in the Fours. Don't rule out a shock win tonight. and dont rule out a not so shocking huge defeat . but in ged you trust . still got the red harrington ? screm
I have sympathy for the paying public of both sides, especially those who have followed Peterborough at Edinburgh and then Berwick last night, I have sympathy for the Newcastle promotion who have done nothing wrong yet have to try a get a decent crowd through the door. I have zero sympathy with the Peterborough promotion who have let one of their better riders disappear off to Poland just so they can get a few extra pounds in the kitty. I am sure they will do their best but this could arguably the weakest Championship this season.
NJC71
Haven't been to Brough in months and this is why. Despite there being probably the smallest number of teams in the league than there's ever been at this level, Peterborough turn up with 3 of their own riders. Shouldn't be happening at this level, speedway is a total joke and is surely finished as a professional sport in this country. Sad, sad days. Warriors
I don't think any championship club should sign any rider that signs for a polish club, co's they will always be second choice, by signing them is just allowing them to have there cake & eat it, would they get a visa in a hurry if they didn't sign here first think not. It stinks💩 Edited August 13, 2017 by dgmetalworks

It stinks That just wont happen, there is no problem with riding in Poland, the problem comes when riders are missing Championship meetings to ride for their Polish club, as is happening with Holder.
Lukas
It's not just Poland..the doubling up rule is a joke also. I really have had enough this season.

LagutaRacingFan
Looking at the updates, the problem appears to be the track. Everything seems to be from the gate. When Harris is struggling to pass, you know the track is poor.
northyorksbear
The real irony is that Peterborough had a realistic chance of winning this meeting with Holder riding, Diamonds are so weak at reserve if you have a couple of good top end riders you can get close. It's a real slap in the face to Panthers fans!
Hawk127
It is sad that this great sport is dragged down further by those who have scant regard for the paying public. I really hope that those in charge are proud of the performance. No blame can be directed at riders, they do what is asked of them but the promoters and BSPA are taking the patience of the fans to new limits. These so called guardians are killing our sport and perhaps it is time to show the utter disdain most have for those who continue to take the proverbial. No wonder those clicking through the turnstiles is going down. What will happen? Nothing. A wake up call is looming and when T V pulls the plug those from the BSPA will start to see the gravy train come off the rails. Onlya few promoters deserve the support the rest will hopefully get their comeuppance.

In this particular instance its got very little to do with the BSPA, in fact in denying the Panthers any facility for Holder they have done all they can. Letting Holder miss meetings in the first place is the problem.

Letting Holder miss meetings in the first place is the problem. That's neither your decision or the BSPA's. The Panthers have it in their right to drop riders whenever they want and use a no facility option.
soupy
Lets hope they drop 3 riders when they are at home and see how that has on the size of the crowd.
LagutaRacingFan
Good to see Shelby Rutherford get his first points in the Championship. A small positive in a disappointing result. LagutaRacingFan
Embarrassing Harris' ride in 15 was worth the admission fee on its own. Told the Newcastle fans stood on their feet and applauded him. Edited August 13, 2017 by Jeremy Corbyn Fan
