Gresham
No it wouldn't, but historically crowds have always tended to be lower when we have ridden on a Wednesday (or any other night) rather than the usual Friday night, so the use of a Wednesday is generally used only when the club have no other option. Probably because people have got used to doing other things on that night. If Somerset were to change to another night and keep it regular as that night, then what's to say it wouldn't improve? I really don't understand how the Club or Council think Friday is a good night to race, considering the absolute carnage of the M5 on that night. How many riders, fans etc find they are running late because of it. A mid week or Saturday/Sunday would be better imo.
Najjer
Saturday on the M5 is usually even worse!
Gresham
Not in the evening it isn't... During the day I'd agree. Anyway... Got here early. Took 50mins...no hold ups. Sat in beer garden in Highbridge and sun is shinning. Happy days

Gresham
Absolutely chucking it down in Herts😔 Somerset seems to have its own micro climate. Brings everything in off the coast. It's weird.
Gemini
When is this on? Friday? Title needs to include date. Well judging by the comments about the weather, also the post before yours saying it's on, I've managed to add 2 and 2 together, made 4 and have worked out pretty easily that it's tonight. I mean no promoter cancels 48 hours ahead of a match due to the weather forecast do they? Err......wait a minute......I'm pretty sure that has happened. Beowulf
Hoping for a point, R/R is unpredictable, if 1 of your top 5 riders is off form then you are in the doodoo.

Perton Wolf
Well, another loss but not surprising. I'd rather we use a Guest than have Perks ride for us again to be honest - tries his best but nowhere near good enough to be a no6. Should've got a draw at least when you look at the results but getting a 5-0 against us towards the end of the meeting proved costly. Another off night for Schlein to put it mildly - has been like that for 3 of his past 4 meetings now. Well rode by Freddie, Howarth, Jacob and Greaves though. SCB
How was Charles Wright in heat 15? 4th in the avesges and joint lowest (6th highest) scorer. Rules say top 3 by average or top 3 by score. Anyway, Somerset now 3 points behind Poole in 4th with a meeting in hand. Was one of Somersets top 3 withdrawn ill near the end of the match, other than that it's a fair question.

Beowulf
Great result, get Poole out of the P.offs Disappointing not to get the win, which going on the scores I think we would have got with Masters riding. However, if that puts Poole's play-off place in doubt, I can live with that.

Nope, rule says: (NB: No facility is available allowing another rider to be elevated to the qualified list if any of those top 3 points scorers are unavailable due to be withdrawn or has no equipment). How can Shovlar say Perks is a great little rider.Doubt if he would be saying that if he was turning out these scores for Poole. We can't make the same mistake again next season, starting with two weak reserves.

Rode very well for Rye House. Perhaps he just hasn't been made to feel very welcome at Wolves.
Beowulf
Make the most of it sunshine, will be back, you can count on that Arrogant b******t as usual. No wonder Poole fans are hated. Shame as there are some sensible and knowledgeable Poole fans. You're not part of that group though.
