RobMcCaffery
According to BSPA site both meetings being shown. That could be a very encouraging sign for next year - BT being prepared to take the extra costs and gamble on what could be a difficult match to 'sell' if it's anything like last week's Stars performance at Rye House. Let's hope it pays off,

STEVEHOLS54
This is the problem when the sport is run by those who were going to gain out of the deal. Other sports that got TV deals spent some of the money on improving their product, and insisted that some of the money given to the clubs had to be spent on youth development and stadia improvements. Such a shame that most of the money ended up in the bank accounts of foreign riders and some of it wasn't put aside to help our youngsters improve, as we witnessed over the weekend, our boys need some help. On your last point. Â Yes the so called BSPA were quick off the mark to promote our young lads had arrived in Poland, but correct me if I'm wrong but no a peep out of them in news as to how well or as it tuned out how badly they had done in finishing last. Why not at least post some lines on a brave effort against better rivals rather than try to bury it as if it never existed. Â The bottom line is that it only highlights how far behind the others UK really is. The Poles are light years ahead of UK and get a reality check. UK will NEVER compete. There is not the investment or interest or sponsorship/promotion. We may get the odd rider who will do well like Lambert but imo even he will never scale the heights. Lets not forget this lad raced in Germany etc as under aged even before signing for KL as a youngster legally allowed to ride EL. I think he will be an above av UK rider but World class?? - Not convinced despite his U19/21 performances in Europe. Note Europe not the World. Â Now the young Aussies and Danes are ahead of our boys in performance and probably ability imo. Â Sunday was almost a wipe out for our lads and just showed how far behind we are. Lambert was ok but even he is way behind the Poles and some Aussies imo. Â Yes our lads need major investment but even if we had all the tools in place it will be years before we get to these guys levels. That will never happen so we will have to make do with being bottom of the pile for a lot longer.

Midland Red
Well if btsports aren't willing to pay for the production costs next year it looks like goodbye league speedway on tv That might just bring some armchair fans back through the turnstiles!
RobMcCaffery
That might just bring some armchair fans back through the turnstiles! Yet again the assumption that people watch on TV instead of going to matches. Â Isn't it possible for people to do both or is there some unwritten rule I haven't stumbled across over the years? Â We might get a few back but would they compensate for the lost sponsors?

stevebrum
Starman gets picked on more than anyone else on this forum. Good on him for giving it back to one of the worst offenders. No surprise you condone attacking the poster. The worst example of it too. It's no wonder you have been banned for it as well.
stevebrum
Yes you did get me banned for my reaction to your grotesque posts about injured and crippled riders, well done. You even tried to get me when you used dead riders to score points. Yet you cry like a baby about a harmless joke? I don't think any poster is bothered by jokes. When several posters say to ignore a poster because they bait for an argument and reaction it's pretty clear who is the one in the wrong. If you think making fun of a medical condition and even mocking FB family pictures (of someone else's) is ok then I feel sorry for you. Â I get you have a personal issue with me, that I couldn't care about. It isn't important to me. However of course you are aware attacking the poster is against forum rules?? Yet you continue??? No wonder you get banned. Â Anyway, we'll done you have drawn me into your warped world of being attacked again. Time for you to stop bullying. Bullying and attacking is wrong. RobMcCaffery
Going off-topic, anyone else think BT and the BSPA 'dodged the bullet' by the former not televising Wolves v King's Lynn last night? So far only the odd guest has shown up our problems on live TV. While it was pure, tragic chance that the match would lose three reserves in one heat, resulting in only four heats having four riders they would also have had to show two riders appearing for two teams on the same night! Â I shall now return you to the sandpit. It'll all end in tears, mind you.
