racers and royals
Dave, perhaps you could give us an insight of what your Tuesday is like on commentary day? Research you do, The studio, staff around you etc? I`m certain he said on Tuesday he was at the track because he just couldn`t quite see the exclusion`s lights from his commentary box Surely he`s not sat in a studio in Dublin !!!!! Well, he'd be telling the truth if so as I'm sure he couldn't quite see them from Dublin!
ytsejam
Nice to hear another commentator who (like Dave Rowe) actually COMMENTATES on whats happening rather than just making "monkey noises" like the two cretinous "shouty twins" resort to every time something remotely exciting happens!

oldtimer
I watched some of Tuesday's Swedish speedway on Freeview's FreeSport Channel 95 last night although I missed the start and didn't catch who the commentator was? Anyone else see it? Dave Goddard
ouch
Same here, and you've just quoted Steve so I've seen it. Is it possible to block posts even when quoted?
Lefty
Does anyone know if the coverage of the Premier Semis on 25/9 is showing one meeting or will it be alternate heats from both. I find the alternate heats method is good for TV but an awful drag if attending the meeting. Presume big screen at the track is too much to expect? I'm fairly sure both the 2nd legs are being shown, so alternate heats would be the format, a veritable feast of races for tv viewers. Yes they will be, but ive never liked the idea of that. Far to drawn out.
Steve Shovlar
Well make the most of it. I have heard from a few sources there is no plan for BT or Sky to show league speedway next season. BT might only be interested provided teams have far stronger teams with GP riders, which would help promote the GP series. There could well be only 6 more live league meetings before the league loses out completely to live meetings.
Gavan
Why would any station show the league?? No top riders and even less next season. Cant blame them for pulling out of league racing and concentrate on the gp's. Doyle this season has seen that he doesnt need the UK, something all the top riders like Janowski, Woffinden and the others realised a while back

If that happens nowadays speedway here will be dead in the water, especially if Chapman stays in charge..

Steve Shovlar
NOT true ... I hope you are right but my sources are normally correct.
PHILIPRISING
I hope you are right but my sources are normally correct. OBVIOUSLY you can rule Sky out but BT are very happy with viewing figures (much improved for SGP now that both domestic and international speedway are on the same stage) and speedway fits nicely into their motorsport portfolio. The big issue is whether the members of the BSPA will accept British speedway being shown on TV without BT (or anyone else) throwing money at it. There are some (no surprise) who feel that speedway on TV is a bad thing without a fee, ignoring the fact that it provides much needed exposure and is vital for many sponsors.
flagrag
Do not rule out Sky at all if given the opportunity, I was only talking about Speedway to someone on the acquisition team on Thursday the door is definitely not closed on a return if the product and deal is right. stevebrum
Why post that reply in the forum? So you admit to attacking posters Do you have a point to make?? I'm struggling to see. Certainly isn't my intention to argue as I call it debating. I disagree I 'always argue'. If I'm attacked I bite back. I won't apologise for it. And you like posts attacking posters? I find your attitude immature, but at least you're not ignorant enough to ignore a pm? The block user facility isn't very good because I can still see beowulf posts when they are quoted, but its better than nothing I suppose. Same here, and you've just quoted Steve so I've seen it. Is it possible to block posts even when quoted? I'm not interested in debating to any of your aliases. No idea why you would send me a private message, delete it and block me. I only play with adults. I made my point however. Feel free to create as many aliases as you want. I'm so over it. flagrag
HOPE you are right but for the sake of British fans having all speedway on one platform is a huge plus. Putting aside my professional position and employment But as a Speedway fan I agree Philip Rising. In the most part BT and Steve have done a decent job with the UK racing and hopefully this may continue. One thing that could be a further problem next year is that my colleagues at BT have mentioned that they have set an internal deadline in 2018 to get all live UK sport in UHD. This extra expense i fear could be something that stops a deal happening hopefully something could be sorted maybe a sponsor could be found to pay towards production costs ? A further question to ask what would Speedway fans view to be having a meeting a week filmed and then shows (AS) Live which is how Premier sports show Polish racing so you get all racing and build up but delays for incidents and track work can be edited out ?
