Baldyman
I like the speedway, which is why I'm watching it, I just watch it a couple of days later so I can hit the fast forward button lots.
alkadera
I like their enthusiasm. Yes, they may be a bit over the top occasionally but I liken it to us fans cheering and shouting during a race. They're fans like us so why not let them show it? They clearly have a good rapport and even take the Mickey out of themselves. Â Would be a very boring commentary if they never got excited. SteveLyric2
I like most of the BT format for speedway. The addition of Natalie and Brando have been great  I do think Kelvin has improved and I also like that we only have to listen to (rather than see) Nigel Pearson!! ;-)  I am thinking about starting a new Premiership Play-off Quiz thread to estimate the number of times Nigel mentions Woffinden/Woffy despite the fact he doesn't feature in the 6 play-off meetings!! :-) :-)

False dawn
Can I put in a vote for Dave Goddard. I recently "made his acquaintance" while watching the speedway coverage from Sweden on Premier Soorts on Tuesday evening. Dave is a knowledgable and well balaced commentator who also communicates with fans via social media throughout his commentry. And when the channel fills in during the tractor racing with other sports, Dsve is often the commentator as well. If BT or Sky were looking for a new talent, they should look no further.

Agree with your vote. Although my preference would be to balance the volume between racing action and commentary. In my opinion the racing is too silent on Premier Sports. SteveLyric2
I watched some of Tuesday's Swedish speedway on Freeview's FreeSport Channel 95 last night although I missed the start and didn't catch who the commentator was? Anyone else see it?
Grachan
I watched some of Tuesday's Swedish speedway on Freeview's FreeSport Channel 95 last night although I missed the start and didn't catch who the commentator was? Anyone else see it? Â I put it on, fell asleep, and woke up at the end as they were interviewing Matej Zagar. Â Did they have a power failure or something? SteveLyric2
They had a few track inspections and delays due to the rain. Like you I got a bit bored with it (probably because I knew the results). Apparently there was Polish speedway on after it, but I'd found something else a bit more conventional to watch on the usual channels. Â Going back to Zagar, he was absolutely flying in those conditions - half a straight in front of all others. Wouldn't be at all surprised if someone didn't ask for his machinery to be checked?! ;-)

In my opinion the racing is too silent on Premier Sports. Â I find their Swedish coverage is fine (probably because it's live) but agree on the Polish coverage, racing is far too quiet. Steve Shovlar
Me  And who said "tractor racing"? Dave, perhaps you could give us an insight of what your Tuesday is like on commentary day?  Research you do, The studio, staff around you etc?
