Wolves Vs Poole 7/8/17

Recommended Posts

Totally disrespectful to British Speedway and the 2 teams they will be visiting in particular.

Disgraceful and should be made an example of (both rider and promotion)

Apparently Peterborough are quite happy with the arrangement, i wouldn't be happy as a fan though with the home side depleted, BWD has had a good season but he is no Jack Holder.

Berwick were quite happy with an arrangement to sign an injury replacement for NBJ after the cut off date but it was denied as its against the rules.

The same applies here...

I wouldn't be happy as a fan neither. And by the looks of it they(Peterborough)will be happy going with no facility to cover his absence against Newcastle and Scunthorpe if he is chosen to ride for Torun.Another kick in the teeth for the fans.

No Peterborough just use a NL rider in those meetings.

So had it been Poole meetings he was to miss you would be quite happy for them to use no facility.

Matt Ford was the one promoter who wouldn't bow down to Torun and sign Holder over. It's been well documented.

That wasn't the question. You made it sound like it's ok for Peterborough fans to miss out.So thought i would ask you whether you would be happy for Poole to use the no facility option. But as usual you give a politicians answer.

No Poole fan would be happy but as we didn't bow down and accept anything the Polish say i expect Poole wouldn't allow it. I assume Torun gave Peterborough a sweetener which is why they want the fans to not moan but when you have one of the meetings of the year and i dare say a meeting many fans look forward to and it is missing the home teams spearhead it cannot be easy to swallow.

Ingave an answer. matt Ford refused to sign a document allowing Polish clubs first dabs on a rider even if it was a re-arranged fixture. So the situation would not arise.

Whatever Peterborough do is their business. Clearly they are happy as probably got some compo.

Then why wasn't Thorsell? He missed a Wolves fixture for a re-arranged Polish meeting.

Quite simple - the BSPA knew full well there was a possibility of that occurance happening - so they had arrangements in place. Holder is altogether different. Once he signed for Peterborough in the Championship, apart from clashes with Premiership and FIM commitments- he knew, the BSPA knew that he had to honour his UK Commitments first. He hasn`t done that and will result in a ban.

When i have seen him at Monmore, he usually has two good rides an average ride and a bad ride, that is what i mean, with his ability he should be getting double figures most weeks.

Odd comment fb.

Of the 12 home matches he has scored double figures (including paid double points ) 6 times. 50%.

Of those he didn't he scored 9 three times and 8 twice!

I'd say that is pretty consistent! !

Post 72 explains it perfectly.

you can't have one rule for one rider and a different rule for another. All rules should be the same.

I would be stunned after Matt Ford refused Poland to use Holder, that Peterborough did so without his permission, considering Holder is a Poole rider first and foremost and only loaned to Peterborough this season. How could a championship club go behind a premier clubs back, and broker a deal with Poland for a rider they don't own, that would see Holder banned from riding for his parent club Poole? It makes no sense.

That's a issue between Poole and Peterborough then. Nothing to do with the rules being the same.

Im stunned why Poole fans have no faith in their team.......winning at Monmore last time and now going back stronger???

If Poole lose this by 10 or more then there must be something very wrong in the pirates camp.

Ive listed the facts of the last meeting compared to this...if you have a different opinion to those facts then please tell me!

It's all about watching speedway as opposed to playing with statistics on the computer, and being intelligent enough to understand that no two days in life are the same whatever one is doing.

If you've played any sport at all you would understand that more. One day everything clicks and you feel like a world champion. The next day you perform as if you've never played the game before.

That's real life, not a computer simulation.
