Speedwaycrazy
Is everyone going to be able to complete all of their matches. Personally, Rye House seem to be up against it ,as their match against Leicester was rained off midweek and tomorrow against Swindon looks under threat from the rain. Can the season be extended if necessary?

B.V 72
Is everyone going to be able to complete all of their matches. Personally, Rye House seem to be up against it ,as their match against Leicester was rained off midweek and tomorrow against Swindon looks under threat from the rain. Can the season be extended if necessary? Fixture planning really needs looking at next year I know we are going to have rain offs. But if the clubs can't fit in 14/15 home fixtures in just short of 6 months plus all the rider/meeting clashes then the sport is really going to end up on its ass. When I started watching this sport at hyde road there was going on for 30 home meetings a year and there was no problems like what we have today what the hell has gone wrong. There were 3 northern trophy meetings, approx 20 league meetings, knockout cup meetings several ind meetings and test matches.Buck up BSPA it can't be that hard can it ?. SteveLyric2
I honestly don't know the reason for the big gaps in many Premiership clubs fixtures. Â It was claimed that scheduling fixtures in the 'odd-numbered' years ie 2015/2017/2019 etc was far easier than the 'even-numbered' years as there weren't (m)any major clashes with other big international sporting events that take place every 4 years or so?! Â So what have we got next year? World Cup, goodness knows what else and the usual Wimbledon etc . Good luck with that one. keef robin
Bit crazy trying to cram in all these fixtures in August, especially with this weather, costs for the fans as well, when there were so many blank nights early on. Swindon had 37 home meetings in 1979!
cityrebel
I can beat that. Wimbledon had 38 in 1980!
