Genuine question for anybody that has met Sarge, is he thick? He was the same at Ipswich, no referee will ever let him get away with a decent start with his reputation, so why cant he just keep still? Surely however thick he might be, somebody must have had a word and explained how much money he must be losing by all these exclusions.

its in his dna now . he cant change .

and yes , he could be a bit thick .

rode a wee bit better last night. but still slowish and thickish .

got excluced in one race heat 8 and didnt want to go off 15 mtrs . in that race campo won on a tac ride . the visiting number 2 had bike issues . josh bailey finished finised 2nd . .

i am sure sarj could have had both of these riders behind him at the end of the race .

shot decision by rider and management . from a poss 8-1 to a 6-3 . lost for words really .

forgot to add , scunny looking hot at the moment . false league position ! well done the scorps .

Not that much really Spanner, when he's pulled back he generally comes last!! :D

If he'd been around in the seventies he'd have been one of speedway,s best ever starters, cant get away with anything nowadays?? ;)

I know the team ... is the team ... but surely a riding order of Cook, Williamson, Campton, Jorgenson, Proctor, R1, R2 would be better?

Williamson would at least have Heat 8 to have a go in ... and get some confidence back? Williamson has improved enormously it's just a shame now he's up against teams with more experience/comparably better riders at Number 4 (e.g. Lindgren, Douglas, Bates). Heat 14 without a ringer reserve in the team it's almost a given as a heat dis-advantage :-( Also the improved Campton should be able to take the 3 jacket now? That would leave Heat 13 as Cook, Proctor Heat 14 as Jorgenson,Reserve then Heat 15 as Cook, (Jorg or Proctor).

Problem is with our league position not being great and so many matches to play ... that'll affect the crowd as we are not riding in a "current" league table (if you see what I mean)

If I'm not mistaken Olga, your ht leaders have to be your top 3 in the averages going, best, next best and next best, as Campton doesn't have a better average than Proctor he cant be No3 same as he doesn't have a better average than Jorgensen so cant go to five?

Best position for Campo would be four with Williamson going in at two, the problem we have are the misfiring reserves, we dont have anyone to cover poor team performers so we end up with potentially several weak heats relying on ht leaders to just.... win basically?

Last I heard it was Jacko's call for riding order so, maybe drop him a line, see if that works!! ;)

As for the end of the season, if we run out of time for getting the fixtures done for the play offs, and miss out, even if we could qualify, you'll have several meaningless meetings to race that could have pushed us up the table to that possible top four position but counting toward absolutely nothing coz someone else got there first and we were too late for the party, who's going to watch those?

Seems jacko has had his feet under the table too long now,we've never looked like winning anything major while in charge, doesn't appear to have any motivational skills, just appears happy to trundle on and go with the flow, apparently he's a specialist in rules and regulations, when in fact all he seems to specialise in is failure, nice guy granted but maybe that's the problem

Thank's for the explanation mate, I gave up following rules and regulations years ago to protect my sanity!! ;)

Dont think it would help us much anyway with our inconsistencies but certainly a tweak within the boundaries is more than available just to see what might happen, freshen us up a bit maybe? :t:

Couldn't agree more!! :t:

but jacko isnt the puppet master , he is the puppet and the puppet masters dont have a clue how to entertain and run a club the way all speedway clubs run .

there are guide lines and rules , but no one sticks to them because they are shot .

just look at the holder/rathbone situation ...

Try and get Hoggy involved.

Its no coincidence that he wasn't there for that PR disaster against Sheffield.

If Mr Hoggart is not now involved at Sheffield I would agree get rid of Jackson and get Mr Hoggart in his place, the thing with Jackson is more than likely he does it for nothing as basically he's a fan,and if you pay peanuts we all know what what we get, Mr Hoggart is an ex rider, astute buisness man, so can motivate people, and he's very presentable were Jackson isn't
