Scotty and Rohan could score well on a good night for them, especially with Rohan at reserve if he does what we know he is capable of, but if the lads rode like they did at Kings Lynn we should be OK.

Rosco states that Jason will be out all week but r/r has worked ok so far recently, and the newbe Tobi is getting better each week.

Simon lambert was Zachs guest but I now see that the write up states TBC.

After tonight the lads deserve a very loud welcome on the parade.

R/R very risky when we have no Zach either ...we lose someone during the meeting then we are in Poo canal potentially

I accept that is a risk but apart from Troy, who is not allowed to guest, two reasonable riders at Swindon recently were Yogi and Steve Worrall if either are free. Will have to see what Rosco announces.

Don't worry, you're only riding against the Lions. At least I think you are. Can't say I recognise me own team with that line-up.

Am trying to recall the year when a team called Leicester fulfilled a league fixture at Swindon with only one of its own riders.

I'd guess 1976, with the rider being Doug Underwood.

Not quite as bad as that now, but pretty close. Sheffield not having a "proper" match today has stopped that ignominious occasion from being equalled.

So it looks like this Swindon Leicester meeting could be seen as a three team meeting with Rye House as well.

The races between the two Rye House guests as number 1s for each team, Scott for Leicester and Chris for Swindon should be interesting and either could come out on top.

The preview stated TBC at reserve for Swindon but it is Simon Lambert, as previously mentioned.

This should be another interesting meeting especially with Rohan tungate at reserve for Leicester.

We are now 2nd in the league, can we go top tonight ?

I will be there tonight as always but I have to say that the ''guest fest'' doesn't sit with me at all. Such a shame that teams have so many doubling up riders.

I assume that as Leicester have Nicholls at 1 is how/why they can use Tungate for Newman at reserve.....

Because his average fits, they have riders on duty for their parent clubs & as d/u & reserve riders, they are allowed guests to cover.

I understand that. My point was more that you have to have two riders eligible for the NL (or have ridden it) I believe. Bates & Newman were those two....they've replaced Tungate for Newman, I assume the loop hole is Nicholls for Nielsen. They will argue he came through the system (many years ago mine)
