Steve0
You seem a little short of facts.. Batchelor didn't walk out.. he had a medical certificate. Although for being abusive to British speedway on Twitter this afternoon, I hope it does signal the end of his British speedway career. Other Kings Lynn riders went out and did ride after the track prep... Holder is the only one who didn't, hence the ban. Abusive on twitter - really? I saw one comment which was hardly that bad!! And just noticed that's the one you've quoted - as I said hardly that bad!! Edited August 10, 2017 by Steve0

Something out of nothing - pat on the back with a hammer actually - no whacking!!
TheReturn
Something out of nothing maybe..... but not professional. He's learned nothing in the last week. British speedway doesnt need him, but it seems he needs British Speedway so someone should have a word and tell him to shut the f*** up. I hope he keeps going with his outbursts and makes himself unsignable.
Mattfordfan
Well British Speedway is rubbish. It needs all the big names it can get to survive in my opinion. How many riders are doubling up already? Will only get worse next season.

Yesterday men.

Regular night racing with regularly seven man teams is much more important than seeing the big name riders IMO.

One big league should be the way forward imo.
SCB
"We need big names", no we don't. Average Joe doesn't know Holder from Newman or some NL junior. However, average Joe will be pissed off having paid £18 to watch a speedway meeting and a bunch of trumped up prima-donnas walk out before the end. The fans want 15 heats of good speedway. Not names demanding all sorts. Let's rip out the cancer and riders like Holder and Batchelor are cancers.

That's a different argument, and some will agree with you, however there will never be just one league over here. Two would be better IMO. He walked out and got ready to go, and was warned he still had not completed his third ride after running through the tapes earlier. He knew the risks, and he is getting the deserts he deserves. Exactly, I posted on another thread that if Chapman could just achieve a decent reliable fixture list and teams that have riders who are prepared to turn up and have a go then he could consider his reign a success. It would at least give the sport something to build on.

Danny Connor
Just read some of the posts on here. There are a few people who are making comments about that night who clearly weren't there. The guys deserved to go. If I had a team of self employed workers and 2 of them were a big problem as soon as things became tough then why not drop them. I do feel a bit for batchelor but pre season I asked holder a question about the polish 2 league rule and his answer was selfish. Pretty much "not my problem". Stuck with me that did. If that's his mentality on other topics too then no big loss. If batchelor wasn't out of a job then somebody else would be. He has been loyal to uk speedway but his attitude owes to do him any favours. To be honest. What ever the outcome there are no real winners. A lot of fans at lynn said if holder was there they wouldn't be. It's probable lynn will lose their main sponsor after this season after dropping their long term sponsor previous to replace them with holders main sponsor. We lose out on a playoff place but have a team the fans Feel comfortable watching. There is a lot of bitter sweet about it but the atmosphere amongst fans has improved 10 fold. It had been flat for the last couple of seasons. The last 2 meetings has been a buzz of such hasn't been felt since maybe our 2nd elite league season. The majority of us have been galvanised by this People naturally will be hardcore 1 way or the other. Personally I side with buster. And the majority of people that were there that night do too. If this was a different 7 point rider would people be kicking up a fuss, hougaard or bjerre or even kk. Wells . . .

Game On
That's what Holder thought of the track. Anyway I hope Noddy is back home at Poole next season. Always gives his best for the Pirates and would come in as second heat leader. So did KK apparently
Perton Wolf
Holder talks about British Speedway with such disdain and aloofness in public anyway, perhaps he's best if he didn't ride over here anymore. No doubt the sport in the UK could improve but he doesn't aim to be constructive with his comments, especially towards fans on social media - just rude and condescending. I'd like us to bring big names back to the UK where there's a mutual desire to do so between club and rider, not in Holder's case where all he does is rubbish the sport in public anyway. Rather the Swedes and Poles who spend less time moaning about the track and more time racing. As I've said in other posts, the Aussies benefit from British Speedway the most........they shouldn't treat it with such disregard once they turn into a half decent rider.
Catalan
See Darcy has tweeted that he is finished with British Speedway as well now. Take it we won't be seeing any more benefit meetings for him then.
