Odds On
I'm guessing the gravy train isn't stopping in the UK anymore for these two Aussies! The real outcome of all this, it will make riders think at least twice before pulling out of meetings, rightly or wrongly. The Doctor...
Surely Holder would have permanent residence by now? Or worst case get a visa for Poland/Sweden and base himself there, and travel back to the uk on a regular basis to see his son? Anyway, the important question is will you be wearing your Holder shirt today? I would imagine he would have a helluva lot more red tape to get thru in both countries compared to the easy ride so to speak he has here to get his visa here. He's not handling things particularly well despite getting his mates to send me private messages on twitter. Ward is the latest buffoon to pile in and immediately back off once he realises he can't handle a discussion.. his last message to me was " yeah, ya mum "

It has to be like that if more and more fans are not to be lost from the sport.

g13webb
(A) I dont believe Kings Lynn fans ever accepted Chris Holder. His form was never as good as 5 years ago and it was a case of comparing him to Iversen from the off. If it was Iversen that had refused to ride I am surr more KL fans would be blaming ( Chapman for the disgrace of a track. End of the day neither side come out of this smelling of roses but Chapmans behaviour is disgraceful, considering he is the one who caused the problem in the first place. (A) I wont have that..... I was at the supporters meeting when Holder was introduced as our new signing. He got a fantastic response from the crowd who were overwhelmed with this addition. It was said that he was the only person capable of filling Niels absence, The ball was firmly in Holders court. All he had to do was turn up and show his enthusiasm. We didn't expect immediate results but we didn't expect the substandard performances he was producing. We thought give him time, after all, class is permanent whereas form is only temporary. All he had to do was persevere, keep his nose clean and the rewards would come. But he couldn't do that even... ( Nobody there that day, will say the track was good. and yes Buster has to take that responsibility. But there are ways of doing things right. Once the referee had a meeting with the riders, he then made a decision. The riders have to agree enblock. it should be a majority vote to ride the meeting or cancelled it. The riders decided to ride, but Holder and Batch wanted out. What they did was TOTALLY wrong.. There's no excuse.... whichever way you look at it...

LisaColette
Course he hasnt, havent once heard of PUK going through the motions like these pair have been!!He may have if he was at that meeting, not one rider said the track was good before they had a break half way through the meeting to try and sort it. I'm sure he would have demanded it to be sorted out like the others did!

Beowulf
We are only really looking at 3 riders here. Lindgren is in the twilight of his career and Holder is on a rapid downward. That leaves Doyle. The rest fled last season. Lindgren in his twilight ? He's having his best ever year in the GP's and is still top class in the UK.

hammer1969
If they both lose their British Visas for the rest of this season as they are no longer employed here does that mean they won't be able to finish their seasons in Poland/Sweden as well? Coventry_Bee
I see Robert lambert thinks it's out of order at what's happened. Clubs no loyalty to riders, riders no loyalty to clubs because of this and where does it leave the paying public? Leaving the sport year on year, run like a semi-professional sport. Quite clearly the riders have no loyalty either. It's a great shame to be reading the comments from him on social media, it seems to be a new attitude that's only appeared this season. Wonder where that influence has come from

hammer1969
NO!!!! Thanks for reply. I'm not very up on the in's and outs of the visas but after reading the following 2 comments in an earlier post "Surely Holder would have permanent residence by now? Or worst case get a visa for Poland/Sweden and base himself there, and travel back to the uk on a regular basis to see his son?" and "I would imagine he would have a helluva lot more red tape to get thru in both countries compared to the easy ride so to speak he has here to get his visa here" Which got me thinking as to whether their British Visa covered them for various countries.
