Catalan
http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5963/nine-month-uk-ban-for-holder Popped onto my phone as I posted, what a chump I am. Love to know why SCB has taken this stance. Surely being punished twice?
iris123
Not quite right, August to March is 8 months . If we assume his 28 day ban is added on to that he won't be available to a UK club until April . That would make the period quoted. Hardly a 9 month ban though is it.? Unless of course there is something happening that we are not aware of yet. As i said before to make sense the ban has to ignore the winter break, and shoud start from the time he signs a new contract........
Steve0
Just in time for the start of next season for a club starting late after their anniversary celebrations. Hope the Aussie 2 get fixed up

noggin
As i said before to make sense the ban has to ignore the winter break, and shoud start from the time he signs a new contract........ The Winter break shouldn't be included, a 9 month ban would realistically include all of 2018 season too.
Phil The Ace
So it's technically just another 28 day ban added at start of season, A president has been set now, when a rider refuses to do heat 15 when asked they should receive a ban to

Well who knows, maybe his mates and his lordship will run their mouths off again at this and it will end up with another ban on top Then again he might learn something out of the whole sorry situation........ Perton Wolf
A shame that the ban includes the winter break but it's a start and hopefully a useful deterrent for the future.
screm
Does the punishment fit the crime, seems to me that Holder is carrying the can for other riders who were probably just as keen not to ride.
The Cheese
Just highlights that in any future case like this you can say your wrist hurts, get a medical certificate and you get away with it. The fact that Holder didn't turn up or at least give his version of events suggests he's not too bothered though, or he thought no further action would be taken.

Shame not longer... http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5963/nine-month-uk-ban-for-holder Pity his partner in crime managed to scrounge his medical certificate, otherwise he could have received his 28 days too

bellevueace
Whilst not being a fan of Chapman I support him in his actions, the powers that be need to take a stand against rider power before it becomes completely out of control. Those that would continue their appeasement to these whingers should realise the tail has to stop wagging the dog. These two plus the likes of Schlein are always happy to have a pop at speedway in this country, but are also happy to take advantage of riding here, that two now cant ride here they are still whinging, the old adage be careful what you wish for comes to mind.

Dave Jones
What for? Being injured? A very debatable injury too . Based on the fact he was perfectly fit the following night. Escaped his due punishment on a technicality IMO.
SCB
Interesting they have used rule 3.2.10.... If my name was Jack Holder I'd be worried they were coming for me next!

He had a medical certificate - there is no debate - despite what you may think/want
