CB252
The thing that irked me regarding this sorry mess was when I heard Jack Holder interviewed during the recent coverage of the World U21 final. He basically said that none of the Poole boys wanted to ride either and the track was terrible. However, they sensed an opportunity for some free points and stayed out of it. Pretty nice way to treat your brother eh? Both sets of riders should have stuck together. We had the same situation at Coventry in 2015 of course. This time C Holder was one of the riders waiting for the home teams implosion. Two Coventry riders refused to ride in Heat 10, the track was deemed safe. 70 odd seconds later, after Holder had nearly killed Davey Watt on the first bend, Heat 10 was completed and everyone concurred the track was, in fact, unsafe. What goes around comes around I guess. Edited July 31, 2017 by CB252

Popular Post mdmc82
Holder and Batchelor have moaned about everything connected to British speedway for a long time now. Holder is moaned about most tracks and both are known to hate a wet track. They have finally got their wish. No more wet British tracks that they moaned about anyway. 😉 You reep what you sow. Too many Aussies think that British speedway owes them 🙄 Edited July 31, 2017 by mdmc82
BWitcher
Why not tell the riders on the Friday then? If nothing else it would have dented their egos that they were unwanted. But to not tell them til the Monday seems unnecessarily vindictive. It hadn't been ratified then had it. Also as explained, all the other promoters would have known and none of them wanted to sign either of them. How would Holder or Batchelor knowing have changed that, would the be bribing teams to sign them or something?
proud panther
Feel a bit sorry for Batch & Holder, if Buster hadn't cocked the track preparation up, there wouldn't have been a problem. He now needs to sack himself, & get some decent shale, & a new track man.
Trees
We only get the Aussies because it is convenient for them, visa and live here during the season. And they do the business for their British clubs too....

SCB
Best thing Buster Chapman has ever done. Shame he signed them in the first place really but fair play of dumping them eventually and the perfect timing of it

You said do the business for uk clubs, the fact he was so good in the SWC on a track he has been pants on all season for Lynn says all you need to know about his efforts in the uk this season
RPNY
Well not ideal how this has all gone down. But with the amount Holder Slags off Speedway over here and his performances this season, hardly a shock. Batch I cant comment on as I've not really heard him say much or seen how hes riding this year. Edited July 31, 2017 by RPNYC

Hawk127
Maybe this result is based on the 'you screw the club and the public and in these dire times, the sport and I will shaft you' so just a little bit of revenge but whether it is right or wrong the sport is a shambles, turnstiles are clicking less and with the hint of a shower, a meeting gets called off. Perhaps the next step is someone suggesting that the bikes have brakes. Imploding is an understatement. Forget the overseas riders. Time for Speedway England to have one league plus the NL, weekly meetings, a transfer window in July and no other changes with overseas riders committing to U.K. as priority and get back to basics. Forget Poland, Russia etc, the UK is in their wake. and the British are so far behind, time to stop pretending that we can compete. Aussies want to ride here, then set a minimum five or six average. Unless someone gets to grip with the sport, it will be amateur open meetings within five years, no league racing. The sport brought it on itself. Fixture lists are a joke with long gaps between home meetings and then fixture pile ups. who is responsible for this? they need sacking. All rather sad and when you think of the opportunities the sport has had with SKy etc. and you ask yourself are those in charge for real. Unfortunately the answer appears to be yes.

ray c
Thing is, whilst you and every other Poole fan are entitled to be in a strop because you can't sign either of them, I can't really see how Poole could have made their side any better? Bringing one or both of them in would surely have spelt the end for Andersen, Kurtz or J Holder, thus rendering the changes pointless? busters done something for every club in the land, really, crude or otherwise.l for one am not in a strop as you call it stop making it up as you go along
