Glasgow V Ipswich Cl Sun 30th July 2017 At 3pm

Second visit of one of our main title rivals , well they were before the Forces of Darkness put a curse on their unbeaten home record last night .

Nevertheless they will arrive with a wounded cauldron and will want to rectify that home slip up . Last time we raced to a 10-2 lead after heat 2 , which proved crucial as the Witches came back at us and it was 49-43 at the end , Witches being only the second team to leave fortress Ashfield with a point .

Once again they are led by Danny King and a couple of ex-Monarchs - Poo Boy and the gating tart that is Justin Sedgmen . Cameron Heeps can be troublesome round our place and Newman and the reserves can also weigh in with points .

For us , our big three will have to bang in double figures , while we could be doing with Dan not sleeping at the tapes on one of his rides , as he usually does .

Showers are forecast , so the hope is that they miss the track as this is a crucial encounter in the race for the play offs . I know the top 4 is pretty much settled , but we want to finish top so we can pick Edinburgh .

No danger for the Tigers home record

Dont expect even a point for the Witches this time round

Home win by 52-40 at least

Not one of his favourite tracks..his own words.

He's had some good meetings at Ashfield in the past , albeit against much weaker Tigers septets . He's a totally different rider round Ashfield when he gates , poodles around at the back when he doesn't .

See another team getting shot of Sedgmen the latest being Rye House , nice to see the Witches showing some loyalty to him he must be feeling pretty down as the Edinburgh mob keep telling us he needs molly coddled to get the best out him.

Looks like the Witches are stuck with the underperformer for the duration , on the plus side he will be on a nice average for Scotland's second team next season. ;)

Tbf KK for Sedgmen is a no brainer. We'll see what he brings tomorrow, the track will be slicker to cope with the heavy rain which will suit him!

I'm just surprised the Witches have stuck with him , gates and he is ok if he doesn't then you can forget it.

Thats four home meetings I think we now need to re-schedule which we cant fit in. Having been off for the Cardiff GP, we arent running again this weekend coming as its the Fours at PB. There seems to be very little cooperation between most clubs in re-arranging fixtures and we are yet again paying the price for having blank fixtures in the pre-July period where no one would come.

Id be happy just to split the points - 2 each sounds fair 😜

Spot on there MD, I've been whinging for years there should be a fixtures coordinator, but they know best, strange how we get to this situation every season though. They'll probably wait until September then realise something doesn't add up. I would mention how many meetings Workington have still got to sort out, but their website doesn't help that much.
