Swindon V Poole Thurs 27/07/

Recommended Posts

Well,I believe last night's victory makes it 8 wins in a row :t:

Admittedly it was against poor opposition (it's not often you can say that about Poole) - but the Rockinest ones march on !

Desperately sad news about Zach, we will definitely miss him..

With regard to the updates, it happened about as far away from us as possible. There was no contact so didn't mention Bradley. To be fair to him he was racing Holder down back straight, and both were going quicker than Zach, if he had of shut off slightly, to allow Zach to have a clear turn, I think Holder may have nipped between them both. His move was a lot less than Doyle on Morris, the week before, when they both nearly ended up on the floor on bend 4.

My only criticism of Doyle. Doesn't team ride and when his team mate is in front, appears to be irked by it.

It's the menatlity riding in the Ekstraliga is drumming into them. Individual speedway disguised as team racing.

Three riders in a race, all there to be beaten.

The senior rider wants the inside line. If it's not happening it will soon change. Leigh Adams was the absolute master of team riding and almost always held the inside line.

When Doyley was at Somerset riding with Kyle Newman who was his partner at number two, he was regularly ruthless with him. Newman copped a foot injury from a first bend collision with Doyley on one occasion and often suffered the wrath of his first bend "endeavours ".

That said, I take my hat off for the improvement Doyley has shown in the past 10 years. He certainly deserves prime position in the Gp's at the moment. But there is no doubt that he sees this sport as an individual one. Maybe that ruthless streak is what is required to make a champion.

I agree with that certainly was Briggo the same? last year with Sedgy they were often both in good position's Doyley looked after no 1.That is what riles me now surely every average you have should includes BPs if not why is it a team sport.?

Late to this being busy. But.....Glug Glug Glug.

For some reason swindon started chucking points away once the result was clear, sparing Ford's blushes further. Crap racing not uncommon at blunsdon these days, but I should imagine the weather leading up to tapes up would have made things even trickier for track prep than usual.

Poole on the end of numerous shoeings and shovvy accusing winning fans of excessively smug gloating...sensational stuff.

It amazes me the naivety of some Poole fans! They say the racing was poor. Of course it was, because the opposition was so poor! They say, " we started to pull points back towards the end, yes, of course you did as the Robins eased off of the gas knowing that the match was won. They say that that they have never seen any good racing at the Abbey. Strange, I seem to remember them getting very excited about getting a draw against a very poorly performing Robins side earlier in the season. Poole fans swagger & strut when they're top of the pile but you seem an entirely animal when they lose. Yes SS, I can still see you dancing about that night!

Actually we (the Poole fans under the shack on the back straight) were having a laugh so I doubt very much you saw me looking like I was chewing a wasp. Please don't make things up. No need for it.

If we had lost it in the last heat I would have been disappointed but the result on Thursday was as predicted so why would I look unhappy?

This was as you were walking past the 4th bend, I assume after you had been viewing the pits as you came from that direction, I just stated that you did not look too happy so my comment was correct as was your meeting prediction.
