Sheffield V Newcastle 27th July 2017 Sgb Championship

I don't class riders (particularly home riders) overtaking slow opposition, or where riders have to make a mistake to see someone overtake, as "good races," which, in the majority of the races you are quoting (particularly the Georgie Wood races), is what happened (in my opinion).

You really are hard to please, i dont see how you can ever enjoy speedway

You've go to remember, the excitement of watching your riders pass slow Newcastle riders will have the opposite effect on Newcastle fans who want to see their team win...

Just making a point, I didn't go, so I don't know what the racing was like

Newcastle fans are going through that point in the season now where they're realizing that we're not going to make it too (even the optimistic ones)... The sucky part...

there'll be plenty saying that we never were ?

Yeah, some people can say that we never were going to make it, but the ones who hold out until it's mathematically impossible... They'll be the ones just realizing now

Really?

George Wood came from the back three times

Two races between Howarth and Lambert

Heat 15 as well

that's just the six I can remember off hand, sure Kurtz had at least one good race as well

If you don't think last night was good racing then I don't know what you want

As an example (and yes I was there). Updates state "Heat 15 - Tigers gate and that was that". I entirely agree with the updates assessment. If you enjoy watching riders simply chasing each other flat out for four laps (best gate and fastest bike wins.) then yes Sheffield is the place to go. Yes Wood did pass Bowtell three times, but only because of Alfie's inexperience around there (His first time I believe) and an engine probably not best suited to Sheffield. I've seen more exciting overtakes on an empty motorway. Heat 11 was the exception, primarily due to a track grade during the interval. After that it was basically gate, stick it on the outside, end of.

According to updates there was passing after the first two bends in 9 races out of 15

and doesnt include some superb passing on bend 2

but if that isn't good enough then maybe I need to go to Newcastle to see 15 heats of exiting speedway every week

Put aside whether the racing was good, bad or indifferent.

What a win for the Tigers.

The Diamonds came with two World Cup riders, who managed 16 points and managed 4 race wins.

The Diamonds were out ridden out raced in every department.

Okay the Diamonds don't have a good record around and the Tigers don't have a good record around Brough Park, but we have already been to Brough Park this season a took a point.

I think that we are now starting to show what good team we are, and barring any mishaps or injuries the play offs will be beckoning along with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Ipswich

Lets see what we can do at Berwick tomorrow night.

Errr heat 2 Wood, Heat 4 Wood, heat 8 heat 10, Heat 11. = 5. Not 9. if you're including ding dong battle with kurtz and Worrall. There wasn't any passing, Nor was there when Bjerre.chased Worrall.

Cant be bothered to repeat the updates just read them it might refresh your memory
