graz gp
Very impressed with all the Tiger's. Both Tigers reserves did great. George Wood is getting better with every ride. Kyle Howarth did great to say it's his first meeting back after that horrendous crash. Josh G would have had a full max all bare an engine going. On to Bewick now and 4 points , i hope. UTT. Steve55
Good win for Sheffield. Thought they could have put Georgie in heat 14, to give him 4 rides, as the points were in the bag by then. Agree, would give the guy some confidence, needs to ride the track against competition, did ok although his gating wasn't great he passed to get a point in all his races. graz gp
Imo Woody will only get better. He is only learning and the gating will get better. Yes they should have put him in ht14. But on that showing he looks to have got plenty of bottle. He is not afraid to have a go.

Cue Ball
I believe the expression is 'put to the sword'. I was trying to work out if we were that good or if Newcastle were that bad, came to the conclusion that it was a mixture of the 2.

But on that showing he looks to have got plenty of bottle. He is not afraid to have a go. Only thing I can think of is that they thought they had a better chance of hitting 60 by keeping Grav in the heat... bit of a lame thought I know.. Decent meeting actually despite the score line. diamond@heart
Clip from last nights action, looked a fantastic race, Standard Ruthless race in my opinion, always value for money It takes two to make the race and hats off to Kyle, pushed Robert all the way and considering he was just back from a nasty crash and illness Well done to them, hope the race was as good as it looks on the clip? http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.32873

The Third Man
It was the only really decent race all night. Really? George Wood came from the back three times Two races between Howarth and Lambert Heat 15 as well that's just the six I can remember off hand, sure Kurtz had at least one good race as well If you don't think last night was good racing then I don't know what you want

Looks to me that he doesn't, or is it just the colour of it makes it look like it's just a naked silencer...
psycho3a
It was the only really decent race all night. Did you attend.... ?? At the start of the season i was critical of the track and racing but now... Wow majority of races are close and generally have passing... On the Georgie Wood theme, I agree he should have got heat 14 as it was against Bowtell and also how old was Ricky Ashworth when he came to Sheffield as a young grasstracker who had just took to the shale at Belle Vue ?? could he follow suit ? Terrace Grumbler
What a disgrace would not spend a penny watching diamonds away from home proper crap I gave up after Redcar. It's a shame because I like Owlerton, but you didn't have to be a mind reader to see yesterday coming and I saved a half day of holiday. Yeah, I was going to stop by on the way up, but I wasn't optimistic (the weather was terrible around Sheffield when I was driving through) so I just went home and saved a little money for another meeting... The Third Man
Yes, (unfortunately!). OK if you attended did you watch every race because i am still at a loss about how you can make your original comment did you not see George Wood? Did you only watch one of three races between Howarth and Lambert Did you not see Bjerre and Lambert Did you not see Kurtz in a couple of his races All of these add up to more than one good race, in fact it adds up to more than half the races Edited July 28, 2017 by The Third Man

Charlieboy
Looks like some people are hard to please !!! I will take the racing weve been producing for the last few weeks over what they are serving up at Newcastle. The Howarth Lambert races were great races between two riders giving their all and leaving enough racing room. From what ive seen of the Newcastle track it would be hard pressed to provide racing of that quality, but as I don't go to Newcastle every week I cant really comment. All we seem to hear from up there is moaning about the state of the track from numerous riders.Any way great win for the Tigers and you can only beat whats in front of you.A team with 2 world cup riders and little else were put to the sword.Good all round team performance last night and lets hope we can beat an improved and strengthened Berwick side tomorrow..
