Midland Red
Andersen battled but would not go out wide and this cost us the win in heat 15. We gated on a 5-1 but Andersen hugged the curb and allowed Lawson around him. A lap later Josh G followed but instead of switching to the outside Andersen continued to try and work back through by the curb. Never going to happen and a very poor ride. Don't you mean "kerb" ?????? !!!

A ORLOV
For 2017 there is no provision for changes after the deadline to replace injured riders, only to re-introduce riders previously in the 1-7: Art 16.3.4 No Team changes will be allowed after 28th July with the effective date being 31st July, except for riders returning to the Team after injury. That's a significant difference to the 2016 Rule. Thanks for that clarification
Bignite
so pleased I made this one, and what a good performance by the Rebels. credit to the track staff to get the meeting on, and to be fair I thought the track rode well pick of the riders for me last night. Lawson was quick away from the tapes and rode the 1st and 2nd bend brilliant in every ride to give himself the best chance at hitting the front Worrall gated well and looked quick all night, and not afraid to use inside and outside lines Wrighty rode brilliant and not afraid to go out wide into the dirt all the best to the Rebels on Friday, as wont be making the journey up the M5 now its silly season, and seeing our opposition is again without there No1
Stoke Potter
Very good meeting last night, really enjoyed it. The track was much improved to the meeting I saw on BT the other week when it was rough. Massive credit to the promotion and track staff for fixing it. I had my doubts when I turned up and they were scraping off the top layer of slop bit in all fairness it was fine. Not loads of passing but some good close racing. Starke, Kennett, Holder all getting stuck in. Andersen, though, was the complete opposite, as he lost confidence in the track or just lost it altogether? As a neutral, the result didn't particularly matter to me, but I would of expected Poole to have the beating of Somerset.
ray c
As actually anybody got any idea why we rode lahti at 5 because I'm lost on that one not one of matts better signings

Completely out of order on Timo. 5.?? something average yet he is riding at 5.
SteveLyric2
For 2017 there is no provision for changes after the deadline to replace injured riders, only to re-introduce riders previously in the 1-7: Art 16.3.4 No Team changes will be allowed after 28th July with the effective date being 31st July, except for riders returning to the Team after injury. Aren't you forgetting the bit that says "except with the permission of the BSPA MC, in the best interest of Speedway".? ;-) Skidder thought it was a good decision. Completely out of order on Timo. 5.?? something average yet he is riding at 5. With Lahti's greater experience of different tracks, yes I did think he was an ok choice for the number 5 - but everything is easy in hindsight. Incidentally anyone who says there is little shale on the Poole track should have seen it last night - or rather the piles of it scraped off in order to get the meeting on. Well done track staff. One of the issues the current Poole 1-7 has is their individual track prep preferences. Richie commented at the end (as I gave him the Rider of the Night trophy ;-) ) that he loved the track prepared that way - with a decent bit of grip - and wishes it was like that every week!! Others in the team clearly prefer the drier, slicker racing surface. Nothing wrong with the actual track itself - no bumps holes or ruts. Matt's comments on the SpeedwayGP site this morning indicate that he may well still try to get a new signing in before the midnight deadline. (For the 2nd week running there were a couple of names circulating, one of which was a Dane.) And he's clearly having a go at some of his so-called 'superstars' (or those that think they are superstars) to start demonstrating it on the track - tonight at Swindon could be their final chance!! Matt continues his Team Manager role at Blunsdon this evening with Middlo away (Not sure if he's holidaying with Peter Adams?? ;-) :-) ) Good to see Rosco in the pits - picking up more tips presumably?! And also good to see Hans' public apology for letting the team and the fans down.... Others have already done the rider summaries , so what I would say is that my guests last night though it was an excellent meeting (aside from the result) with lots of 'exciting racing'!! I would tend to agree. Edited July 27, 2017 by Skidder1

GWC
Poole seriously need to look at other teams to see they are no weaker than most. Fords rant in the SGP match report shows he doesn't understand speedway when you remove so called 'superstars' which Poole have had in abundance in the past. Welcome to the real world Mr Ford cause it's not going to get any easier!

Steve Shovlar
Those who think Matt Fords anger is wrong can think again. Fully justified imo. Last night the team should never have lost. Considring its Matt that pays the bills he has every right to tell certain riders what he thinks. Definately the right call. No good pussy footing about massaging egos.
