Poole 2018

Recommended Posts

If the whispers about fixed night racing are true (Mondays/Thursdays??) then I can see one or two of the top Danes becoming available to the UK especially with what's going on in Sweden at the moment!!

Maybe a new Dane for Poole??? ;-)

can't see 3 Thursday night championship teams agreeing to that tbh!!, Thought Monday/Wednesday was premiership nights??

I'm only sharing what was going around amongst some fans and sponsors last night!! I guess we'll have to wait and see as in every season.

You never know, some of the current Championship Thursday tracks may well be looking at Premiership status next season eg Ipswich, Sheffield?!

I don't think there is much chance of Ipswich and Sheffield moving up under the current regime - they have been sold down the river previously so probably wouldn't want to risk it again.

The Championship seems in a far better position than the Premiership so why would they want to move up?

Lemo not rated by one or two on this thread.

Just my opinion, he has been central in changing the mentality of my club's team & fans, who had become used to failure. He's been a driving force in turning them into a force to be respected &, at full strength, feared. Hopefully the Aces back my point up on track Monday morning & pick up full points.

On to 2018,think Poole have the basis of an outstanding side next year. I like Woryna, saw him perform well last year at Cov & at our place. Really seems to have kicked on too this year. With B Kurtz, potentially both Holder brothers & Shanes there is much to be positive about.

Seems to be too much hysteria on Poole threads after one iffy season. Try waiting 24 years for a league title, & enduring numerous wooden spoons along the way. Perspective needed, Pirates will be back...

Yes, they have, but if Kildemand were to come back on his last average of 7.1 he would be an absolute bargain, especially with his entertainment value. More of a steal than Woryna.

Disagree. Woryna should increase his average by 50% if he comes in on a 4. something. Killer would adds 25% tops

With the strength of the Premiership now it wouldn't surprise me if a couple of clubs did make the step up.

OK, maybe you're right, but Woryna will do well to average 6 from 4.65 & Kildemand could make 8.5 from 7.1.

I believe Kacper Woryna is a far better rider than you are giving him credit for. He knows UK tracks, has had a superb breakthrough year and looks ready to the next step. A 6 point average next year for Poole would be a disaster in his eyes. Every bit as good as Musaliak if not better already. Without bigging him up too much I would expect 7+ if he remains injury free.

Edit. Beat me to it FB.

He's had the same "breakthrough" in Poland as Woryna! Just goes to show that driven by big bucks and easy tracks in Poland doesn't translate to big points in crappy England!

Museliak has over a 7 point average and he hasn't done a full season, Woryna looks a better rider to me. Jack Holder a poor start to the season and now is riding much better as he is proving in Poland.

No he hasn't. He has been loaned a highly tuned engine from Greg Hancock which is setup perfectly for Torun. It has worked perfectly but don't think for a moment he could do this off his own back. I don't believe he would score anything close with his own equipment.

I do believe Jack will breakthrough along with Brady, but Woryna is of the same ilk and is already scoring pretty well on all Polish tracks. Time will tell.

In this league I would expect at 7 from Woryna.

If he was riding at reserve then maybe. Put him at number 2 or 4 then he will do very well to get to 6

again depends where he is riding in the team. Is he as good as Jack Holder over here?? Doubtful and Jack only on 5.89 from number 2.

Jack Holder has been disappointing this season.

Started slowly but come on hugely. If you are expecting Woryna to be a 1.5 better rider than Holder thats a big ask

True, Holder better than Woryna in Poland and not all Poles travel well. World beaters in Poland..average over here.

All depends if Woryna can start at reserve

Think the team will be, in no order and only the riders I feel that will be retained from current is Brady and Shanes.

1. Brady

2. Woryna

3. Shanes

4.

5.

6.

7.

I still reckon both Holders - Would love Magic back but a lot depends on whether he wants to come (dont think he is happy in Sweden) and how our averages are looking come close of season - Or maybe an already mentioned Kildemand if he is just over 7 points. The one unknown if if we do have to field 2 UK riders then who would that second one be ??. Obvious candidates are Newman/Stark and lastly /Wright who is a Poole asset.

I am sure Matt Ford is already way ahead of the game on who he wants.

Wasn't Kildemand a Poole asset once or maybe still is ??
