poolebolton
So Matt confirmed on Solent tonight that if the 8 point rule was not bought in he had a new top rider ready to come who has never ridden in Britain before. What time was it on the radio?? Also there isnt many options. Dudek Laguta They are the only GP riders who have not ridden in the UK before. stevebrum
But at least the article confirms he will be on 4.65 Nothing has been confirmed tho yet has it. They haven't even released the averages for team building for 2018 yet! CVS confirmed they hadn't been fully agreed yet and that was this week! Does it matter?? We all know Brady average will drop enough for a new over 8 to be fitted in..then a sudden return to form. The rule will probably change to say you can bring who you want in once the averages change. There can be no such as keeping the limit to just 1 over 8 all season because if 2 or more riders increase and go above 8 during the season they aren't going to be expected to move on. Common sense will hopefully allow teams to change as they want after the first set of averages so you can be sure there will be teams cheating to get the limit down. BSPA another mess up awaiting.
BurntFaceMan
With the possible exception of Rye House , Kurtz will be the weakest number one in the league. Potential to improve for sure but Poole need to find some strength in depth from somewhere Definitely a weak number one, but plenty of room to have a very strong second string and reserve sting. I still recon there will be a some average manipulation so that riders drop below 8 in order to bring other over 8 av riders in during April and May.
hrhbig
Get rid of one ridiculous rule, then bring in a new one which starts to look stupid even before its implemented...Speedway
proud panther
Just let every team have what riders they want within the points limit, simple.
Mattfordfan
Nothing wrong with Kurtz riding at No.1. He coped last year even had an average of 8.91 before his injury. Young rider who has improved year on year and his performances have been noticed around the world (Contracts with Leszno and Vetlanda) Whilst Nick Morris is still riding in the Championship because no top flight Polish or Swedish team want him. Not even as a reserve.
stevebrum
And Morris is still a better top flight rider than Kurtz. End of.

Steve Shovlar
So you think Morris will be in the world cup over Kurtz! Brady has far more potential in my opinion and will prove a better rider next season Morris is a slow burner improved year on year and will end up at the top end. Kurtz though has a little more flare about him and is more likely to make a bigger impact on the world stage. Seems to have a bit more Crump like gritty determination about him. He has inexplicable bad meetings thrown in with some blinders. Out of the two would rather have Kurtz any day. Lower starting average certainly helps but plenty of improvement to come. Swindon fans would say the same about Morris.
Gavan
And Morris is still a better top flight rider than Kurtz. End of. How dare you look at the averages in the top league! Brady Kurtz will be a 10 point rider next season and Morris will only be a second string. In all seriousness Morris was a better rider than Kurtz last season you cant escape the facts. However Brady could improve past him this season unless the burden of trying to carry a weak Poole team drags him down. And by that i mean Morris was riding in a team high on morale last season and used to winning and Poole were the complete opposite which can drain a rider. Morris will be no.1 for Swindon in 2018 for the first time in, what has it taken him? 6 or 7 seasons in the top flight?Brady was no.1 last season in only his SECOND season in the top flight. Morris in our league was better than Kurtz, doesnt make a difference how long they been riding! Its like saying Doyle isnt as good as Dudek because it was Dudeks first season in the gp!! Over time Dudek may be better than Doyle but last season he wasnt. I would expect Brady might average more than Morris next season.......but this season he wasnt as good. The way to compare them is to look at Morris’s average in his second top flight season for Swindon. I personally think Brady will be the better rider of the two. He has improved a lot in each season at Poole.
