Because when we leave the eu a visa for the UK will not allow him to work in Poland, the same as all the UK riders who will have to apply for eu work Visas

A UK visa wouldn't allow him to work in Poland now anyway.

He would need a VISA for Poland now, a Polish or Schengen Area Visa doesn't allow you to work in the UK and vice versa. Only EU citizens have the right to freedom of movement, not non-EU nationals.

What puzzles me is why the other riders did not back him.

I've seen several tweets from various riders from all over supporting him but on Thursday when it mattered they didn't.

If the track was dangerous, I'm not qualified to judge, and as has been reported the rest of the riders agreed why was Holder the only rider that (allegedly) refused to ride (opinions on Batchelor's withdrawal differ). I can accept the argument that the Poole riders sensing a victory cos the Lynn riders didn't fancy it would not join in BUT if all 7 of the Lynn riders had stuck together what would have happened. Would the SCB have suspended the whole 1-7?

So this begs the questions.

Was pressure put on the other riders and only Holder stuck it out?

Did Batchelor approach the medic or did the medic sign him off independently?

Was the track safe after the remedial work, it's been reported that Hans Andersen said it was. If so why didn't Holder continue?

Why didn't he simply go up to the tapes in his programmed race and blast thro them, I've seen that dozens of times before.

Several times individual riders have attempted to form a Riders Association without much luck or support, surely in a situation such as Thursday and it's fall out such an organisation would give support to riders. Or are riders only interested in safety etc when it affects them personally.?

Another thing that puzzles me is that Holder has tweeted that he will put his side after the weekend........why the wait.

Coz he wants the British support at Cardiff ?

Coz he wants the British support at Cardiff ?

If his explanation is a good one he would still get that.

Maybe he's launched an appeal and doesn't want to prejudice the outcome?

In which case he would be best advised to say nothing at all surely.

Who even cares if he's banned he's been rubbish all season. He obviously thinks he's far to good for Britain so why doesn't he just concentrate on Poland and Sweden. He's been mainly garbage for Torun and been at reserve on a few occasions for his Swedish club. Seems to think he's doing a people a favour by being here and taking the mick but really who would give a damn if he didn't ride here anyways, would rather see someone with not as much talent but who is committed.

well i blame the ref....... its only speculation ofc but it seemed that the riders (or some of them) wanted the track improved and wanted the ref to sanction it but he didnt visit the pits immediately so the riders got cheesed off thus Kai + Rob didnt appear for ht9 and were excluded. Only then was it announced hat the ref was going to pits and sure enough Buster started on the track. Unbelievably though the ref didnt rescind the exclusions even though he'd finally agreed with the riders.

The situation ofc wasnt helped by Holder only doing one more heat and Batchelor's withdrawal even though they'd got their way and it was no problem apparently for the rest of the team.

So Holder was right to voice his concerns but wrong if indeed he was coercing others to agree with him.

Whether we'll find out what actually happened though who knows ??? We can only guess ..... :o:nono:

In two minds about the Holder situation, but I'm positive Batchelor blatantly took the p*ss last week.

To stop future incidents I propose any rider who withdraws mid meeting should not be allowed to race again for a minimum of seven days.

Agree, never like to see riders injured, but Batchelor clearly faked an old injury getting him out of the Kings Lynn meeting, but racing for Swindon the next night, and then at Leicester on TV.It now looks hes got a legit injury but how are fans supposed to react?!!
