King's Lynn V Rye House 19/07/17

Recommended Posts

I think there are too many unanswered questions to simple let the dust settle.

For example....

It is all well and good for the SCB to ban a rider for leaving (or threatening to leave) a meeting, This is a senior KL rider. As an "employee" is his behaviour not tantamount to gross misconduct. In my world, this leads to instant dismissal.

Were other riders encouraged to support the "we're not going to ride" initiative? Further damning behaviour.

Can we see the detailed report by the medical examiner which allowed another senior rider to leave the meeting. This is relevant given that the said rider was riding again within 24 hours.

Were any of the KL management at all complicit in the move not to ride? I personally don't believe they were. But tell us what action was taken on the night to instruct riders to get on with it? Was there a flat refusal?

A full and frank statement please.

Can I ask why the two riders who refused to ride in heat 8 or 9 against Poole are not banned for 28 days like Holder? Batchelors 'injury' is clear to everyone. Back racing 24 hours later with no effects. But Lambert and I think Huckenbeck failed to race so surely they should receive the same penalty as Holder.

Or is there just double standards here?

Make the punishment fit the crime. The reports from the pits were that Chris led the initiative not to ride and also (although I have no first hand reports) threatened to leave the stadium. This is a long way from relatively junior riders failing to appear in one heat which was immediately followed by the intervention of the referee in the pits and the agreement to perform significant remedial track work. They were punished by exclusion and maybe a fine is in order. But clearly their "crime" was not of the same order.

But some of that is speculation on my part. And that's the point isn't it?

A rule needs to be brought in to stop any shinannigans about feigning injury. If IRR is implimented, the rider should not be allowed to ride for 5 days.

I think that's a little harsh Steve - I mean a broken finger nail could keep a rider out for many a minute!!!!!!!! :nono::party::D

In a Sport where a drugs Cheat gets his national Team through to a World Final, and they are allowed to compete in that Wold final, and you think they are going to bring a rule that will stop a rider from feigning injury. You have got to be having a Giraffe. Commercial world of Speedway wouldn't go with that.

So Buster's 'final comments' on last Thursday's issues will be in tomorrow's matchday programme!! I wonder if it'll say anything new?!

Steve Worrall and Lewis Kerr guest for Holder and Rose with r/r for Huckenback. Batch returns at 1 - should make it interesting.

I reckon if all the Rockets are fully fit, there could be an away win in the offing.

Ah now I understand. The fans are such delicate little flowers that the club thought they couldn't cope with the facts. Now isn't that considerate of them ;)

To be honest some of them can't.

Reading through Germany speedway Team Websites there is no Teams riding tommorrow that Kai is in. So either ist not because he is riding in Germany or thier Website updaters are worst than ours.

Probably injury as he fell in the SEC.

Still no reason for Kai's absence tomorrow. Why can't the management be honest with the fans?

It's not in their DNA ( Did Not Answer )
