King's Lynn V Rye House 19/07/17

Recommended Posts

Well following on from Thursday night's debacle will the track be to the liking of the Aussie duo.Luckily i didn't witness last Wednesday, sometimes having to be at work is good.

Who will the Stars have to replace Rose.Maybe Newman,Kerr or do we have another Aussie in Tungate. We need to have a decent reserve as Rye have Robson at reserve.

This will be a testing time for the team to bounce back from last week, and must start winning at home to even think about making the play-offs.

Sadly, no good will come of that. Sweeping things under the carpet means that the ugly, dirty bit of it is still lurking there. Hopefully not to be repeated, but I am not holding my breath.

Hopefully holder will be suspended for withholding his services meaning we won't have to see him in our team .it will also mean he will be unable to sign for his beloved pirates as it will be past the cut off date for signings.Harsh? Yes . Tough. You reap what You sow. Buster tried a new surface to give people what they asked for I.e better racing , and produced a very grippy track that most of the riders attacked , even bachelor to start with .In my opinion the ensuing debacle was caused by 2 main culprits and they should be held accountable.Fingers crossed it's good bye and good riddance to the whinging Aussies

Holder and Batchelor will be in the Stars team against Rye House. The Lynn management are too weak to get rid of them.

If true it opens up the question as to why:

a)Management can not find any replacements this late in season

b)Sponsors intervened to stop the riders getting sacked (I believe fork rent is Chris's main sponsor as well as the clubs)

c)There is more to the story as to why the last meeting imploded and an agreement has been reached to never talk about it in public as long as their team places remain open.

d)Another reason

Whatever it is I would expect the fans are owed nothing less than a full and public explanation prior to Wednesdays meeting so they have time to make a fair and balanced decision of whether to attend and continue to give their support. Simply telling fans to support their club or lose it does not cut the mustard, it would be the equivalent of emotional blackmail and nothing less.

So now it is "sponsor power" that likely runs speedway at KL ( and elsewhere too ). It makes more sense but begs the question that the supporters and turnstile income is much less important. So that IF sponsors can be found who will continue paying up in exchange for their control of the sport - crowd levels can be allowed to plummet? Is 500 regulars OK? Then 300?

What many want is the same that JC asks of the club ( in red above ) for a full and public explanation of the "extraordinary "reasons behind last weeks farce. Will some of that explanation include the invisible co-promoter Mr Lyon? Is he pulling out as rumours suggest?

Hello JC,

I had been racking my brain as to why Buster has not made the obvious decisions, and you hit it on the head with the above post... The Sponsors have tied Buster to a contract enabling CH to do as he likes.... Brilliant....

We need to get Roger Warnes back.....
